for me, it was alot of niggling doubts that i ignored for years, then one day everything came to a head, and i decided i wasnt going anymore. And i havn't been either.

already had doubts from the time i got pubes... but i was about 15 and we were studying the revelation "book" for the upteenth time.

i realized for every actual bible verse they qouted there was 2-3 paragraphs of conjecture, assumption, faulty logic and just plain stupidity.

that's when i began to plan my escape.

Although a small part of me can't belive i've gone from devout JW to raging,immoral "lets get as many out as possible" apostate in a year!

for me it was when the Isaiah books came out. and they had put the quoted scripture into bold writing and the explanation into normal writing. One tiny little scrap of scripture would be quoted and to follow there would be several paragraphs of explanation. i remember thinking "how on earth do you get all that from just a few words and not even the whole verse!?"

Then i also started hating the way it glorified the GB and the FDS, 1919 this and 1919 that in every stinking chapter! they may as well have called it " how to worship the GB rather than god"
