Wouldn't the predators on the ark have eaten everything by the time the 40 days was over?

let say noah did manage to get all the species into the ark... about half of them would have been predators and the other half natural prey.. are we going to belive that they went without eating for 40 days and nights?

or the ridiculous theory as the wt would have it that noah fed them nice tasty bales of straw which they happily munched on?.

and even if one of these two exhuses were true, when the animals were let out of the ark into a world now deverstated by a flood, then wouldn't they have continued eating eachother???

ok but hibernantion while on board the ark still does not solve the problem that when the animals got out they would have had no vegetation to eat and the carnivores would have eaten the remaining animals.

And what about the humans in all this?? What did they eat? The animals they were supposed to be preserving? If you take the view that they took aboard grains then you have another problem in that grain rots. By the end of it all the would have run out of food long before the flood waters went.

Do i recall right that when noah got out of the ark he sacrificed somthing as thanks to god? Now where did that animal sacrifice come from? Surely not one of the animals he was supposed to be preserving??

in short the types that end up being accountants and maths/ english teachers.

i'm one for reading say "76" and then saying "67" or indeed somtimes looking at it hard and thinking "i've no idea what those two figures mean at all!"

i'm forever giving out numbers only for people to call back and recheck what i've told them... normaly turns out i've reversed half the numbers!

How many meetings does a JW attend in a week?

i always found it a bit deceptive to say we attended five meetings a week, when in reality it was only 3. now that there are meetings only twice a week, do witnesses still claim to attend 5 meetings a week or four?.

i think the real question is how many do they actualy attend? in my cong it was rare for a family to make it to all three per week. Don't know what they do now that its only two

How do JW's explain the shifting continants?

it has been established that all the continants used to be joined together and indeed are still moving.. scotland is part of cananda and the mountians are still getting higher as is the himalayas.. england is moving back towards france, the isle of wight is going to join up with the mainland and then eventually france when they all join up again.. africa is splitting in two gradually and i think its the maldives that are sinking back into the sea?.

now as far as i'm aware... the jw's explain this by saying that the continants first spilt apart due to the flood.

but we have seen how if theres an earthquake, which dosn't move the earth too much, it causes huge tidal waves ( can't spell tunsiarmy) .

As a JW Kid Were You Expected To Get Baptised By Your Parents/ Congregation

here is a quote from a ex-jw about this subject, i myself had alot of pressure from my family to get baptised and finally gave in at 14, wish i had left them a present on the way out of the pool that floated..at the dudley assembley hall .

i can't justify my entire family (parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandma) and friends shunning me because i chose not to uphold a dedication i made at twelve years old.

sure it was my "choice" to get baptized.

the pressure was on within my peer group from the age of 10.

True no one dragged us into the baptisum pool. but it was made very clear that you were not spirtual and there fore no good, if you were not wanting to get baptised.

I got baptised aged 14. I was still playing with dolls........ Hadn't reached puberty yet, had no idea of what i was doing at all. All i knew was that this is what i had to do if i didn't want everyone to think i was the pits.

While i was "working my way to baptisum" i was showered with love bombing and attention, which at the time having grown up with this set of people i found abit false. Anyway that all went as soon as i had done the deed.

Theres a theory that Etna might sneeze its top off and take out a chunk of Italy some day. If god created earth then why didn't he shut up the volcanos? You know so that we didn't have them dumping toxic dust and gases on us?????

Shunned by the window washer

over the many years my wife and i were captives of the watchtower organization we hired witnesses from time to time to heip us maintain our home.

one of those witnesses was a window washer who was quite good and reasonably priced so we have continued to use his services even after we faded 4 years ago.. so this year, my wife called to set up an appointment for him to come over and do our windows and he tells her he's not interested.

now this may be because he's so busy and overworked that he just can't fit us in or it could be that after four years of not being at meetings he has chosen to shun us.

when i was in, i asked my jw ex boyfreind this, and his responce was not to belive me, but to say "i think we should wait and see what jehovah has in store!"
