  Did You Have Any Weirdo JWs In Your Hall?

  in the 2 halls i was in, there were a few.

  but the most memorable one was an elderly pioneer who would ask the householder if they wanted to hear about "the truth".

  when they quite naturally said ,"no", he responded with, "if you don't believe in jesus, jesus will turn you into a pig"!.

  it was my experiance that the dubs actualy got excited about finding a werdio in the ministry, it was like " goody! someone dumb enough/werid enough to belive what we preach!"

  Stupid Illustrations and why we thought they were so simple... (meat mixer)

  - if you mix all the parts of a meat mixer together in a tumble dryer for all eternity, you wont get a meat mixer.

  'ahhh' says everyone, then creation must be true... if you mix all the parts of a human body together in a tumble dryer for all eternity you wont get a human?

  in most accounts that fundamental bible believers tack together to make 'faith' in the bible.. eve eating the fruit [only other witness was the snake apparently]burning bushheavenly meetings with satangiving the 10 commandmentsrevelation of jesus to paulevery vision, dream, or godspeak incidentthe list is long and untidy, but these few make my point.

  i think your missing the point, all but one of those points you mentioned invovled men! and therefore must be true(!) the one about Eve, well she was a woman... so naturaly she was gulity!

  i don't mean depression or somthing of that nature.

  i used to work with patients who suffered from severe schiofrenia etc, they would claim that they were god, son of god, gods mesanger etc.. of course they were highly medicated and put in a place where they would be taken care of.

  it was a rough section of the hospital to be put, in fact the chances of making it through a shift with uniform undamaged were silm and there was porters ( guards) behind each locked door.

  Of course they were highly medicated and put in a place where they would be taken care of. it was a rough section of the hospital to be put, in fact the chances of making it through a shift with uniform undamaged were silm and there was porters ( guards) behind each locked door. Alot of the time though those porters had to be called in to drag some patient off a screaming nurse before she was killed/raped.

  An arguement that could be posed is that those patients WERE actualy what or who they said they were, and that modern disbeliving society has classed them as crazy. Does anyone have any thoughts/views on this please?

  I know where i stand... my mind was made up the day i had a patient try to smash my head in when i took him to the toilet.... lets just say you had to be a loud screamer in those days because the emergency bell was always near at hand.

  What is it with men?...

  this is a responce to john does "what is it with women" post.

  i'd like to point out that men do even more irrating and inexplicable things than women.... 1) not wanting to ask for directions.

  2) getting a kick out of seeing people blown up in movies.

  Are Jehovah's Witness men good catches?

  i've stated this before on this message board but i was kind of curious about this and wanted to get some feedback from the group.

  in particular, the ladies who are either current or former jw's.. about a year or so ago, my wife went with me to a church i was attending at the time.

  we then later that morning attended a kh meeting.

  i made the mistake of objecting to being slandered in the congo and the resulting shunning it got me, even though i had done nothing wrong at all.

  but all i got in return was "loving counsel... puke" in the form of a strict telling off... it was my first real step out of there, you might say the scales started to fall from my eyes at that point.. i'd very much like to know if i'm alone in experiancing this kind of treatment or not?

  i suspect not...?.
