Kingdom Halls, Assemblies, District Conventions - NO POWER POINT
by Nephilim ini'm a good public speaker - when i have my power point.
this is because i am a very visual person.
when i had my notes everything seemed to get blurry.. it bothers me that there is this unwritten law that you are not allowed to give visual presentations in the kingdom hall... even assemblies equipped with multiple projectors (to view baptism) do not use power point or any type of visual stimulus.. hell even when they have 10,000 plus people they are still working a full day with just a man on stage talking.

I think Jw's activly stay away from anything normal. I think it gives them a kick, a sense of being specail to be abnormal as possible.
Welcome to the board Nephilam! Might be my imagenation but your style of expressing yourself sounds exactly like a brother i used to know in London, if that is you ( with the legs so long they needed to have trousers made for them) then double welcome!

quentin: i hate to disapoint you but if you read my eariler post you will have seen that i ditched the guy several hours ago. I spent the evening at a freinds house ( female freind) and we had a good session of dissing men ( in the time honered female manner).
And tonight i'm in bed alone....
and by the way, i'm not a JW anymore, havn't been for almost 18 months and i now activly work to get JW's out of the cult.

i can't think of anyone who looks like me, but i can confirm that i look nothing like my avater!;) And that when i walk through town i get hit on a average of 5 times without fail ( not even exagerating there)

Was Jehovah God Ever Real To You?
by minimus inwe were supposed to "love" jehovah god.
we were taught how wonderful a god he is and how fortunate we were to be his people.
of course, you can't see jehovah god.

Jehovah was very real to me all my life. Then one day i found myself about to end it all and i realised that if Jehovah was there that he didn't care about me. Then i discovered this site and stopped beliving at all.
I think it was just my imagination though, there is no god out there. No prayers/talisman will help me like hard work and determination.
No god is up there watching and condeming me for everything i do, i'm free.
