a perfect witness family.. only not so perfect: they say "jehovah is first for us and above everything else.

@outlaw: what fascinates me is the Anti-logica in their story: they say first that their children have to decide for themselve, for being a witness or not.

One quote further they say that because Jehovah is above their children, a choice for the world will make them shun their children. Because Jehovah is above everything.

They also say that the paradise is only for Jehovah's witnesses. And that they maybe move to Italy right after Armageddon. If you wish to go to Italy, do it right now, should I say. They also say there are no rules in paradise. Not even trafic rules! They don't know the elder flock book of the WTS ((:

I think the PR manager of the Dutch Watchtower Offices is not so happy with this interview. Because it shows to the world a nice couple with nice children being fully indoctrinated by a sect believe system. I pray this interview will make some witness wake up for TTAT.

Of course, most witness are not that bad. This family is not so bad at all, I think. But they are indoctrinated. Indoctrinated by our sect believe system.

Like Abraham took his knife for killing his son, this not so bad at all family elders say "Jehovah is first and above our children". You don't believe it, isn't it?!?

i found these questions that were part of a theocratic written review for the week of february 24, 2003 that are in need of updating:.

multiple choice: the faithful and discreet slave mentioned by jesus at matthew 24:45-47 is (a) the governing body of jehovahs witnesses; (b) all anointed christians as a group on earth at any given time; (c) jesus christ himself.

back in 2003 the correct answer would have been (b) all anointed christians as a group on earth at any given time.

Klopt, ging inderdaad over het zwaard.

Het kwam er op neer dat je moet kiezen tussen Jezus of contact met uitgesloten familieleden.

Onderbouwing was dat Jezus heeft voorzegd dat hij tot verdeeldheid zou leiden in plaats van verenigd zijn. Huisgezinnen worden verdeeld is voorzegd.

Daarbij werd gezegd dat niet het genootschap de uitsluitingsregels heeft bedacht maar dat ze van god afkomstig zijn.

Ongelooflijk wat een onchristelijke opstelling en wat een bewijs van gebrek aan echte christelijke liefde in ons geloof.

Ik ben benieuwd waar dit allemaal heen gaat. Men slaat opnieuw een regide richting in, die absoluut niet de mijne is.

In een andere lezing werd aangehaald dat we maar een waarheid kunnen hebben. Een persoonlijke waarheid bestaat niet. Dit wist men ook nog te onderbouwen door een wetenschapper. Hoe komen ze er in hemelsnaam op!

Ik heb gisteren in Utrecht deze lezing aangehoord, kringopziener Blok, een oude scherpslijper, hield de lezing.

Op zich weinig nieuws. Volgens mij lette niemand echt op.

Goed in het nog even na te kunnen lezen. Ik vond de lezing over hoe om te gaan met uitgeslotenen veel schokkender!

the society has hit the jackpot with selling most of it's property in brooklyn, and some other prominent buildings outside the us.. so, they got an estimated $ 700 million dollar income and getting even more when they sell 124 columbia heights etc.. in total they will have then some $1 billion dollar on their bank and investment funds.. in the past questions about audit and giving account by the society about their finance, were answered "the brothers trust each other".. but now, the society has become a mayor financial player, this answer about trust is not enough anymore.. i asked my father about this and he told me "the money get a tag "world wide work and will be used only for good things, don't worry, trust them".. i told him that i don't trust them, because they act like a financial institute.

he told me "we are getting big, it's all part of fore told the publishing work".. so, speaking with jw family and friends is allways a dead end... :(.

it was not long after the official governing body dedication of the warwick property, that a tall straight man, dressed in plain white, with half long hair and a beard, checked in at the security officer at the gate of the property.. "sir, what's your name and what's your purpose of your visit?

" asked the security guy.. "brother, i am here for a long expected visit".. "do you have an appointment?

and who is your contact here?

It was not long after the official Governing Body dedication of the Warwick property, that a tall straight man, dressed in plain white, with half long hair and a beard, checked in at the security officer at the gate of the property.

"Sir, what's your name and what's your purpose of your visit?" asked the security guy.

"Brother, I am here for a long expected visit".

"Do you have an appointment? and who is your contact here?" asked the security guy impatient.

"My contact is the one who has the supervision here" the man answered.

"Ehh, do you have an inventation?"

"Matthew 7:22"

"Ok. What's your name Sir? I have to make a call".

In 15 minutes Jesus was driven away by some nice and polite police officers.

The one who had supervision at HQ did not even got a change to say ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’

So, they failed during this inspection of the Lord and got the opportunity to go on with counting at least 900 million dollars when they hit the jackpot at the real estate market.

Congrats my friends at HQ, your time will come.

Feeling numb and alone

since some time i post here on this forum... i am always willing to help people or to express my opinion if it helps someone.... i have already posted something about myself but i haven't told much about my history.. i am married with a nice wife and i have three kids (two of my own and a stephdaughter).

since a year i do not go to meetings and i unofficially stopped with the "truth".

i had a meeting with some elders expressing my concerns with the teachings and with the slave.

ik herken wat je zegt. Ik heb niet dezelfde omstandigheden als jou, en ben afgehaakt door de geschiedenis van ons geloof te onderzoeken. Geschiedenis heeft altijd mijn interesse gehad, gecombineerd met kennis maken met getuigen die dezelfde interesse hebben.

Dit alles is begonnen door de nieuwe zienswijze over de generatie in 1995. En alle veranderingen daarna. Ik ben tot de conclusie gekomen dat ons geloof door amateurs is gestart (Conley en Russell) en dat het nog steeds door amateurs wordt bestuurd. Een ding is mij zeker, het is de waarheid niet. De nadruk ligt tegenwoordig op absolute gehoorzaamheid en organisatorische continuïteit door focus op vastgoed, aandelen en politieke invloed via aan het genootschap verbonden organisaties.

Ik ben het met je eens, losraken van onze geloofsstructuur voelt soms op momenten eenzaam, en aansluiting bij anderen, wat wij wereldse mensen noemden, is erg moeilijk. Wat schijnt te helpen is een resolute breuk en helemaal over nieuw beginnen. In mijn geval is dat onmogelijk door familiebanden die ik niet wil verbreken. En dan kom je in een cirkel terecht. Eenmaal wetend dat de waarheid de waarheid niet is, maakt het voor mij onmogelijk om onbevangen een lezing aan te horen.

we zullen er mee moeten leren leven, denk ik.
