good article, a must read, from my perception.. i did a bachelor and master since 2001, having the same opinion, for a better present and future and for my and family sake: being an educated person, gaining respect and being proud of what i could realize in life.
a win - win situation.. http://www.npr.org/tags/510831679/jehovahs-witnesses.
for present jw and non present jw's, take your change and take the path to higher education.. g.. g..

in a post re dates etc from fatfreek reference was made to huge library at bethel with items dating back to pastor rs day.
like the year 1975 which has vanished from wt theology, are gb using move to let them put all old and inconvenient items into some sort of cold storage and off library shelves.
already the revelation book has gone from the orgs website, and that was quite recent relatively, we studied it 3 times at congregation book study, yet now, like type and antitype it mysteriously was never there.
Same thoughts I had recently.
I think some items will get trown away.
Other items will be saved by individuals.
It all depents if there is a person in an oversight position who has historical interest and the guts to save the not relevant items. 😕

attending for family reasons, and listen in "oversee" modus to the many comments during the watchtower study.. in my opinion it was a self help article on the subject stress amongst the flock.. leave it all to jehovah and help your self with the bullet points.. what i noticed from the comments is the lot of stress mentioned.
comments after comment they told how they handle their problems.
it is a real toppic amongst them.
I think their problem is also that they have an opinion about everything. Also about their fellow JW's.
And combine their personal daily life issues with persecusion.
Job lost? It's Satan that takes his change.
Education offer? Take care we are no part of this world.
So the internal perception and opinion is the reason, it creates problems, keep the JW low profile and let rhem strugle for life.

i have had it confirmed now, that since stopping attending over 18 months ago, the elders have set out to deliberately ruin my name and character .. they have been talking to every witness from the local area and saying things like "be careful of him, he has the ability to implant thoughts in your minds, and he only pretends to be kind and caring".
so, all i have to say to them is, "bravo!
if that is the method you want to employ, you have reached the very depths of bad behaviour!".
And so it goes...
A minor reminder: maybe you did the same when you were still in (full loyal mode).
It's predictable.

Watching them I noticed that most are emotional unbalanced. No real education, not thinking for them selves. Maybe with a worldly eye they could be called losers. They can't help it and maybe it is good they found a structure and a place.
Conclusion of my sunday morning was a hugh amount of stress amongst local witnesses.

while i was at work i got a phone call from an elder i haven't seen in decades!
he started asking me questions about my family, my ex, and told me that he heard i "was no longer in the truth".
i got a little defensive and he quickly picked up on it and assured me his call had nothing to do with checking up on me regarding the religion.
Stay connected maybe he is a good guy.

i found this article online when i was researching information on another post and i am only posting it as an historical item of interest.
it is not intended to slam the judge.. .
i apologize if this has been posted and discussed before..
Rutherford had the Trump factor!

just been reminiscing about how c/a's have changed since we were young.
i remember when they started friday night in some rented hall , as well as the two weekend days.
saturday morning was a brief session then field ministry (which only a few performed ) and sunday sessions.. in the free time around the venue we just used to hang out socialising and eyeing up the girls.

Born in 1970 I remember the rush to get a dining table and reserve it for the whole family 😎
For us kids it was great with al the food and beverage.
It was a big family.
