Just ordered the book Crisis of Conscience

hello there.. i just ordered the book coc, and will son recieve it.

does anyone have anything you want to mention about the book - perhaps some things you stumbled upon that might help me understand something more?

or maybe you have any thoughts you want to share regarding the book?

so a week or so ago we received an invitation for a jw friend's wedding anniversary party in the mail.it was addressed to 'the andersen family' (and not just mrs. andersen & baby andersen) which was pleasant of course, but not a huge surprise given the type of person who said friend is.. however, i already prepared myself to be uninvited after all.

some time ago, there was a congregation farewell party/get-together.to my surprise, i was invited too!

an elder specifically came over to my house to tell me.then some weeks later, he visited again, being terribly sorry but the invitation was revoked as the congregation got concerned over my possible presence.. with that debacle in mind, i wasn't surprised to receive a message from my friend 'hey are you at home?

@Anders, it's a sect with narrow minded people. Before waking up I was just like them... Didn't you? It's not fear, but we can expect this.

Remembering starting fading we were not invited also. It feels suck... and respectless.

Sanderson's hate speech

it was given as a morning worship rant.

sanderson sports his usual smirk.. he opens up quoting matthew 10:22, 23 about persecution.

Is the GB setting up to dump 1914?

with the "generation change" and them changing it all the time it would make sence to dump it all togeather.. lets face it ,it can be disproved easly.. they dumped 1975 in a heart beat .. this would buy them all the time they wanted as they would just find another date to start the generation from ie: "the u.n year of peace and sercurty'',1986 i belive or whatever else they could think of.. they could sell it to the r&f as easly as they sold 1975,then dumped it when it did'nt happen .. anyone questioning them would be told they are running ahead of jehovah or lacking faith in his earthly org that feeds us food at the proper time .. what do you think?.

They don't mention it and during meetings you never hear those dates.

The same with paradise earth. I don't hear it often.

so it's not enough that i'm dealing with post traumatic stress/anxiety and panic attacks all related to my life as a jw (50 years baptized -- i stopped going a couple of months ago) at 3 a.m. i get an email from the other side of the world.

'you have to go to the convention.

Born in 1970, I still hear my fathers comment about the 1980 excuse of 3 lines in a WT article. Way too short, way too late. He did not believe in the date and mentioned the fiasco later to me.

Why this video now? I have no idea.

They give "some" the blame for the Fred Franz madness. That's incorrect.

Fact finding will show that easely.

The Truman Show, a movie that JW's must hate.

the truman show is on tbs tonight and i know, it's been mentioned before here, but it has to be a movie that gives jw's the creeps.

jw's know something is not right in the wt fantasy land, but until they have that epiphany, that the wt has lied to them, the jw is just left with a niggly feeling of "something is just not right" in the back of their mind.

now when jim carrey- truman burbank- figures it out and becomes self aware of the lie, everyone around him tries to redirect his focus away from his epiphany , then convince him he is the only one who see's a problem.

CLAM Video - re Erich Frost (Apr 17-23 2017)

i normally don't bother going to the midweek jw meetings much.

however, upon reading in the april 2017 meeting workbook that there was to be a video about erich frost (former do for saxony & nazi prisoner in sachsenhausen concentration camp) i wanted to attend as i had read about this brother in history texts by detlef garbe and hans hesse.

i had also visited auschwitz several times and noted that the museum had a display / exhibition about jehovah's witnesses.

They should made a clam video about Paul Balzereit. This brother, is abused by Rutherford and Knorr. They lied about this honnest brother. Gave him the blame for their anti seminist letter and declaration. And then excommunicated him. Since knowing this I hate the JW leadership. They will kill you if it's for the porpose of them and their property, then and now.
