The jw.org billions

it is still strange, that an organization, lead by a group of old timers, is gaining billions at the moment, without giving any transparency and accountancy feedback, because these men "trust each other", and come away with that.. they got the property investment by the use of cohi associates, and deposit their liquid assets at the caymans.. it is clear: the real power behind the jw.org facade is securing his future.. don't get me wrong, i'm not insane, but more and more i got this strong gut feeling that some governmental organization has the real power.. gorby.

@ The Searcher, nice to hear i'm not the only one on this planet thinking this way.
I remember when I was a teenager, I became suspicious about government - jw.org connections.
For example, when the C.O. told us during his visit in +/- 1990 "Secretary of State, James Baker went of the airplane in an African country with much repression. The first thing he asked the local president was "So, you persecute Jehovah's Witnesses? We urge you to stop this immediately".
When I heard this my reaction was different then the rank and file JW, and considered there was a strong lobby from jw.org to the US government, or there was the option that the C.O. was speaking nonsense.
At this point in my life, I am thinking more and more that jw.org is one of the American organizations used by the American government for the implementation of their global U.S. interest.

The impact of all the scandals will be minimal.
I remember my own thoughts when I was an active JW:
- the world is against us, we have to expect persecution
- where else can I go?
- It's the best lifestyle for our children
- ok, maybe not everything is good, but it's still a life insurance
That makes that people will stay for years after the first doubts. We did also, isn't it?

if you place the jw.org in the bcg matrix, the result will be "dogs", sometimes more friendly called "pets".. a business in the category "dogs / pets" is to be sold off / liquidated soon.. that's what we see at this moment by the wtbts / jw.org.

I have the following addition:
Printing will be outsourced to:
1) rank and file JW at home PC for the internal documents
2) commercial printing company's for PR documents like invintation and tracts.
The next decades they will hide with a small staff in the Hudson area and do the global internal communication with high speed internet connections.

Today I read some old MBA stuff on my bookshelf. One of it is about the BCG matrix.
The matrix indicates the state of an business (merely production). If you place the jw.org in the BCG matrix, the result will be "dogs", sometimes more friendly called "pets".
A business in the category "dogs / pets" is to be sold off / liquidated soon.
That's what we see at this moment by the wtbts / jw.org. They have no growth and no cash flow.
The cashflow from the selling of buildings is a one-off benefit.
It's a decline business. They are liquidating the old production model, the printing business.
The status of the organization today could be the Cash Cow state at his last, with the continuously milking of money, cash and assets and in a transformation to a "dogs / pets" fase, when the organization has retreated into the hills of the Hudson area.

Peer presure to use Ipad
by Gorbatchov inearlier this season i advised my retired father to ignore the use of a tablet during his kingdom hall congregational visits.
his response was hopefull, but between the lines i could hear he had no choice.. yesterday he showed me his new 600 euro 64 gb ipad air 2. he had no clue what he has to do with it, he told me one of the elders will install the jw.org apps.. so, i feel he had to deal with presure to buy this ipad and i think he is not the only one.. do you recognize this?.

Yes, it's very sad. The elderly, most of them living with small budget, feel the pressure to buy a costly heavy device.
It reminds me when I was a young boy and did field service in the early 80's with my father. The door opened, and there was a householder so angry, angry to us, the steam came out of his ears. My father asked him, why are you so angry? The householder told us that when his elderly mother died recently, he found a room full of Society's publications and magazines. He said "Your believe pushed my mother to buy those publications in the kingdom hall and they pushed here to raise the quotum. It cost here thousands and thousands of money and she had to store it in house".
In no time we will have now relatives who are that angry because the Society pressed their 98 year old grandfather to buy a Ipad Pro 128 GB for the use 3 jw.org apps.
It's typical sect behavior. "Mother" tells buy this and that and the flock will follow, because of pressure.
They have no alternative, because you have to fill in the field service report about how many times you used your tablet in the ministry. Publications are released in pdf / EPUB only so what can you do?
I'm out since 2008 and don't recognize this religion anymore.
Last week, near the Supermarket, I walked into 2 elderly witnesses. They said "Hello" and I thought, let's doing the Christmas idea so I crossed the street for them. I asked "How are you" and they answered quietly "We are getting older, but we are ok. We have much contact with our children, because we have facetime now". I told them, stay ok and take care! They liked the little chat, even they now i'm a fader. (they did not the we miss you so much-thing).
