imagine: you have inside information that could destroy the watchtower corporations.. how far would they go to protect the assets?.
would they kill?
no strange question in blackwater etc days.. g..
It was just a question. I’m not mad and not insane.
Free to ask what I want, isn’t it?
😜

i'm not sure if this was mentioned yet, but at this week's meeting they announced (or will announce for those who haven't had theirs yet) the availability of a new official statement on child abuse that can be downloaded in the legal section of jwdotorg.
(funny it's in the legal section, it just shows their mentality and how this is really damage control.
) here's the link:.
As I see it, The Firm.

zoiks inspired this thread when he mentioned this book elsewhere.. i have read other threads on this forum about it, but i always enjoy the fresh insight on here.. commentary on the letter of james was always my favorite book from wtbs, partly because i love the book of james, but also because it was one of the books that dealt with more practical christian living than constant wt doctrine.. i mentioned to a number of people that i loved that book, and got a few comments of "well, you know that book was written by an apostate.".
it didnt take me long to do a little math - that book came out i believe in 1979/1980, right around the time of the great purge.
how could someone write such an excellent book and then be branded an apostate just a few months later???.
The book about all the world religions was also different. Never studied it at the bookstudy.
Never mentioned at meetings.
liked that one, too.

i have to say that the talk was very good.
instead of just repeating a jw manual , the speaker actually spoke about my brother!
there were a few scriptures with the jw hope but 80 % of the talk was actually about the life of my brother.
Good to hear! Maybe the local witnesses are not that strict at all!
Respect.

i remember when that came out, my mother didn't catch it in the original article in the wt.
it was in one of the review "do you remember" thingies that she caught it.
she asked me if it means what she thought it meant.
Never forget how my good father defended the 1914, 2520 year, 607 bc and generation doctrine in fieldservice during the 70's. Was a litle kid and when listening never beieved a word off it.
Then the 1995 change was my beginning of my jw.org end. In advance of the magazine witnesses in Holland wete confused, faxing the English magazine because the Dutch version had to be translated first.
Dad told the CO "don't let them change 1914" and they didn't.
Since then, I did not believe them anymore.

how does watchtower.org feel about this site for jehovah’s witnesses who want to find a partner?.
It is used by jw's here in Holland.

in this midweek meeting the local needs was a booooring speech about the new brochure on donations.
the wt must think the jws are dying to know how to give their money.. well, it's not new this is disgusting but this time, after i ve been slightly hinting people here and there for a year about the 'abnormal request of money' and remind them that 'the faithful slave wasn't like that until some time ago', this time i saw their faces.
they did get bothered with that talk.
