  nowhere in the bible does it say you should be a "publisher" and turn in your time if you preach.

  A few posters have used the H word, kind of funny and interesting. Heresy according to whom. It seems some have just walked out of one door filled with angst and superstition only to enter some other Church or Ideology filled with equal angst and superstition.

  To turn around and become a Fundamentalist, Evangelical or Baptist, to accept the idea of Hell, you would think people would be to embarrassed to admit such things or that they were that guillible..

  Its a Therapist's cornucopia.

  So if your God is the final judge why get all worked up over Witnesses who want to stay Witnesses. Is it just to get them out of a super strick religion. Where did you wind up that you think you made such great religious progress.

  i dreamed last night that i caught hell for doing the above vis-a-vis a potential bible student [aka "bible study"].. if, as a christian jw, you directed an individual more toward freedom of thought and choice, would that take the society's element of control totally out of the equation?.

  is so-called christian freedom compatible with spiritual structure, as it were, and unity of brotherhood?.

  Celebrating the Mass for Christ, really. It seems some early groups celebrated Dec.25th as the Assumption of Mary.

  Jesus could very likely been born between Yom Kippur and Rosh Hasanah...light yours candles in the Fall Jesus was a good Jew.

  Its very possible that Jesus recited the Shema in its original form which may have included the divine name. If one believes that Jesus transmitted the thoughts and communications of God to the Hebrews and guided the process of scripture then in his pre human existence he was there when Deut.6:4 was said originally. He very well could have spoken it in its original form, reciting it from memory. What has happened in translating these ancient texts into other languages like the surviving greek texts is an issue of controversy. It is difficult to be hard lined one way or the other.

  Jesus was a good Jew. The DSS show the divine name being used in their copies- 200BC to 100CE

  Some still need to beat the dead cow, others have moved on with their lives through education and careers and new friends. Some turn around to help the ones trying to leave, kind of like a mentor.
