i had been preparing for this for so long.
The theology of the Witnesses evolved from the earlier Bible Students of CT Russell's time. Russell wrote that Jesus was the Alpha and Omega and the Almighty of Revelation by appointment. J.Rutherford changed that as he developed his break away group.
The reality is it just doesn't matter that much about technical interpretations. The Supreme Being is kind and cares for creation including all of us, there is no torture in an afterlife such as taught by Trinitarians.

hi everyone.... just curious how many of you knew when you were active, about the societys official teaching regarding jesus the mediator.
i was floored to find in my research, that they teach jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only.
and it is only by our association with them that we might have salvation.. i don't know about you guys but i was blown away when i learned they taught this.
The reality is that it probably doesn't matter about technical interpretations. The Almighty is kind or not, and I tend to think the Supreme Being is on the kind side. We have this planet to care for, its our home. We have our families and friends as community. Being good stewards of this ship is what is important.
there are some days when i log in here and because of my own views on governing body dogma (which is, its a big smelly stinky wet pile of shit), i find myself writing essays about subjects concerning how nutty their doctrines really are, how weak they are.
so i do these expose's and at the end of it, i feel better, because i know, (i know!
) that the governing body are cynical liars, and that their doctrine is total crap.. i know this is good for those who actually care enough to take up the gb on its offer to "study the deeper things", might question what they find, and want some other info... thats how it started with me.... lately however..... this other way, where you simply mock jw's.... when i first came here, i was pretty sensitive to that.

I do speak from experience having attended Church of Christ, Baptist, Calvary Chapel, and Presbyterian Churches.
The freedom to choose what to study can be greater until it comes to formal doctrine. Try standing up in a Presbyterian Church and disagreeing on the Westminster Confession, not so good in the conservative denominations.

The lies are a big deal, rewriting their history is another way to deflect careful examination of details.
It still amazes me that people can go through the effort to free themselves from that experience and then go out and join some Church and convince themselves to believe even worse things about God.
Haven't they learned any life lessons.
Apparently he was working in California, hotel/porter type of work, when the News came that CTR had passed away on the train and he saw his opportunity to make a run for the presidency.
My mother, uncles and grandparents were at that last public meeting that CTR gave in Los Angeles.

It sounds like you believe in some form of universal salvation. Only problemo with your Jesus is that its off to roasty toasty ville for many.
Always amazed that an adult would buy into that junk.
