Btw.......you do realise that any who left over the misrepresentations and deceptions of the WTS have been 'sifted out'! The WTS fails to realise that people who give up a lot to become a JW, live a JW lifestyle etc. are bound to be sensitive to issues of truth. We have not changed.

the factory stereo on my car went out so i went to best buy and had them install a new stereo (sony cdx-mp40).
one of the things that they sales guy was very proud of was the fact that the face plate comes off.
It happened to me! Thieves will take whatever they can with or without the removable face!

as i wrote my last post about d. h. (the jw woman who was superficially shot by her abusive non-jw husband), it occured to me that the entire story sounded fabricated.
but it got me thinking...i wonder how many of our posts here are fabricated, exaggerated or embellished?
has anyone here actually been caught in an outright lie?
For example......there was a story a while back of how someone got kidnapped by the Governing body and was a sex slave for 2/3 months...........I didn't buy that.

if jesus said to keep celebrating the memorial 'until he returned' and he returned in 1914 then why do we still celebrate the memorial?

A person could make stuff up and post it. Likely it would get some sort of reaction but we are a pretty discerning lot. So they get found out in the end.

i was reading in the religion page of the newspaper today that the mormons are enjoying romance novels in which descriptions of the characters' sex lives are limited to little more the first kiss--- that could happen after they are engaged to be married........any ideas of what a jw romance novel might be like?
For a true WTS approved romance novel...........the engagement would be very long.........wedding days would be set.........only to be cancelled....and rescheduled thereafter and cancelled etc. The couple would have to say to everyone that the Wedding will come 'soon' but to be patient....only for the couple to grow old and die without realising their dreams.........AW!

i had a phone call last night from one of the elders asking if they can come around.
when i asked him why he said it was to discuss whether i would be interested in having a study.. this is strange as i have been baptised since i was 14 and left about 4 years ago and have had little contact with any witnesses except my parents, but, the only thing that has changed over the last few weeks is that i put together a 50 page report documenting a range of subjects including the un involvment etc and give it to my mum.
then within a week the elders want to ask my to have a study!.
I've spoke to 'Search' earlier only one elder came in the end. And 'Search' kicked ass! i will let him fill you in with the details!

Not a nice story. Not helped by the danes own legal system. there should not be any limitation for criminal acts. I would have lie detectors might have helped in situations where there is a situation of one persons word against another.
This guy though, needs a visit......
