  Can you be a glutton and inherit god's kingdom?

  i was looking for the scripture about who will inherit god's kingdom and can't find it because i packed up all my books and stored them.

  is there mention of gluttony being one of the things that will keep you out?

  proverbs 23:20 says a drunkard and a glutton will come to proverty.. proverbs 28:7 says one having companionship with a flutton humiliates his father.. so if i can't take blood transfusions, be a drunkard, lie with same sex people, etc.

  You can try!....Some who are 'gluttons' have disorders of some description or another..so its not easy to work out who's at fault. I would have thought that there are a lot of 'large' dudes in the US! So its never going to be easy! Haha!

  DA or not DA or continue slipping away ?

  for weeks now, i've been trying to put together a disassociation letter - incidently, it's you lot that have put me up to this - and it's nearing completion but i'm feeling nervous about sending it.

  the fast approaching christmas celebration thingymajig is kinda egging me on as i want to blaze christmas lights everywhere and not feel nervous about the possibility of a visit from the po who drops the mags in to me fortnightly (i'm generally 'not in' ... ahem ...).

  i would appreciate your for's and against's - to either convince me to go ahead, or to think again and stay the execution ...

  You may have no choice! They may DA you anyway...so you might want to make a pre-emptive strike!

  Alternative is to move and sack it! Thats what a few have done.

  i complain regularly about the little rural community wherein i reside.

  it's a very very affluent community with a pockmarked seamed underbelly of stark poverty.

  viewed with the right jaundice-colored glasses, there is a lot wrong with the sociopolitical scene here in corntown.

  Evolution, Aliens ,Angels and Gods

  i'd like to start by asking the question can you belive in evolution and not in the possibilty of alien life?.

  if the known laws of nature are all that are needed to create life undirected is there any basis for anyone doubting the probable existance of other creatures apart from our own?.

  if this is the case is there any reason to doubt that there could be beings of a different nature or more advanced than us?

  With the universe being so big...even with the small percentages at work re evolution....there would be a high likelihood of stuff living out there somewhere. The chances of coming across it are miniscule.
