  sorry if someone has already mentioned it and i just missed it, but at this years' dc was there a talk on the sunday programme about how you should treat/assocaiate disfellowshipped ones/relatives?.

  i was just looking through some old threads and thought this is worth revisiting for newbies, especially after recently reading seductive poison by deborah layton (a jonestown survivor).

  i'm not suggesting that brooklyn are about to crack open the koolaid but it makes for sobering reading.

  i hate this scripture!

  it's a loophole....jehovah is of course protecting his servants but when one of his pioneers or elders is hit by a runaway car and killed it was just...."time and unforseen occurence...".

  yes jehovah will look out for you if you pray to him, but.....the "time and unforseen occurence" clause may still get you in the end!.

  life in the new system, did you give it much thought?

  sure, we would be brought to perfection, and there would be a resurrection, but how about other things?.

  in my years growing up and living as a jw, i never really thought about it that much.

  I hardly ever thought about it because even as a jw in good standing, i never thought i'd be worthy or good enough to be there anyway! Boy, did i have some self-esteem issues back then - issues brought on and encouraged by the constant 'nothing you ever do is good enough' mentality of the Borg! Maybe deep down i just couldn't really see a paradise earth ever happening.

  How often do you take shower?

  It depends. Normally once a day, but if it's summer i can't stand being all sweaty so i'll shower up to three times a day if i can! If i've excersised i'll shower after that. Thinking about it, i sound a bit obssesive lol. My partner, on the other hand, avoids the shower/bath as though he's allergic it haha

  How many WT labels and peculiar words???

  the thread on "approved associate" made me think of this......geeze there are soooo many in jwland......personally, i miss "rendezvous"......not the buick.......i think there must have been a frency on the gb.......since brochure was also a fave....... but the people status labeling is the worst......is it like that in other faiths?........list your labes here...........oompa.

  The worst has got to be 'in the truth' and 'strong/weak in the truth'
