"Time and unforseen occurence"...a Witness loophole Scripture when your Sh## out of luck!

I hate this Scripture! It's a loophole....Jehovah is of course protecting his Servants but when one of his Pioneers or Elders is hit by a runaway car and killed it was just...."TIME AND UNFORSEEN OCCURENCE..."

Yes Jehovah will look out for you if you pray to him, but.....the "time and unforseen occurence" clause may still get you in the end!

I agree. Either time and unforseen occurance (otherwise known as random chance) is responsible for EVERYTHING or nothing, at least in terms of God's people. It's understandable to claim that God doesn't protect people from reaping the consequences of their own actions, but if he doesn't then protect his people from other stuff, then what good is he?

Then the other JW cop-out is the saying that God protects his people as a "GROUP", not necessarily individuals.

All this means is that Jehovah doesn't give a f***, but expects credit whenever things do manage to go right in spite of Him (not because, in spite). If He manages to do harm to you, you blame random chance or Satan (who takes an unfair amount of the blame while that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag gets away with it). In the meantime, your hard work is minimized while that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag gets credit for your hard work or that of someone else.

I bet "time and unforseen occurence" is going to befall all of them. And, for some it will not be unforseen--if they cut back their income and pio-sneer, chances are pretty damn good that they are going to become destitute (and often in poor health) by the time they get to retirement age. That will be their fault for making bad decisions, and Jehovah's (and the Washtowel Slaveholdery's) for scamming and threatening them into making such bad decisions.

If Jehovah wants any credit for any good, then He must start taking the blame for bad things or when good fails to materialize.

I'm on here too, as a result of "Time and unforeseen occurrence". I just happened to see what had been posted recently, and here I am!!!

I thought of this a lot while I was in.... In fact, after my atacks in Cameroon, I had a couple of people tell me this same thing... "Don't worry, its just time and unforseen occurrence." Oh wait, I survived. "See? Jehovah was protecting you...."

    Really?

So lets see... Drop off a heretofore inexperienced American, as African as Conan O Brien, in the middle of f*cknuts square in Yaounde, tell him he's got 3 months to learn French, and send him out to walk around the city dressed like an American businessman around Christmas. Nothing could possibly go wrong here, right? I mean, most people would just assume I am a stupid JW missionary. (which I was)

Same thing for pioneers, ESPECIALLY for pioneers. Car breaks down? Lose you cleaning account at Smells Like Piss Factory? Time and unforseen occurrence. Get another Smells Like Piss cleaning account? Car gets fixed? Jehovah's blessing......

Another example of the GB only wanting to be around when it makes them look good. They don't seem to really give a rip when something goes bad. Because if its bad, that means Satan is persecuting them.... *smacks head* These guys are so cynically manipulative its sick.

It not a matter of luck, but discernment. If you're a newbie, you a translator, a mentor, a guide, and your wits about you. At least, Jehovah and His Word are still there to help make decisions. And, of course, so are your contacts.

That just tells me that your imaginary friend is:

    A. Not as "powerfull" as you think

    B. Does not give two toots about humans.

    D. Just the name of Reinna's vibrator

    D. All of the above

D (with C being the funniest choice)

Funny how I never thought of that when I was in. I did always wonder why God would protect you "sometimes" or protect some people but not others. Why he would let little kids get cancer and die, or let mothers or fathers of small children be killed. There must have been a reason I never really trusted Him, huh?
