  Michael Sam Story on the ESPY'S. He was raised a JW.

  michael sam...the football player who came out as gay, received an award on the espy's sports award show last night.

  they had a video presentation documenting his struggles and it was brought out in the video piece that as a jehovah's witness, he was prohibited from playing in organized team sports...but that he went and defiantly played anyway.

  so, sam not only had to overcome the gay issue but also that of being a witness.

  All I found at those links was a google page. I think the mind is constantly re-editing itself. So over time you can have a significantly different view of the world.

  while it has been thoroughly discussed before, it has of course recently arisen again- a suggestion to believe in christ and just keep seeking, asking, believing that a personal proof and maybe even a revelation will present itself.

  as it turns out, that is probably true.. page 194 of bart ehrman's how jesus became god explains it well:.

  ...the ability to distinguish between self-generated events (that is, imaginary sensations originating in the mind) and externally generated ones (that is, those induced by causes exterior to the mind) is a real skill that humans acquire, and like all skills, it is likely to fail under certain circumstances.

  Advice on fading needed

  these 2 options are before me right now-.

  1. write a letter to the elders and my family, not da myself but basically saying i have too much going on in my life and am confused, so that they will stop bothering my wife and stop asking me questions all the time.

  after i write the letter continue to go to the hall less and less.... 2. appease my wife.

  i think wt interpretation about the rev.

  mystery great babylon is too general, saying that is all false religion..... from reading revelation, it looks more specific because it says, it is the mother, ( maybe origin or root ).... what's your view ?

  National newspaper interview with JW's using the JW.org trolley

  a dutch national newspaper (trouw) published an interview with some jw's using the jw.org trolley near the trainstation of utrecht.. the local coordinator of the trolley work acknowledged that many witness are not enthusiastic about preaching.

  it's a wide spread rumor in our organization.. but the witness elders will remind them personally that preaching is nessasery.

  then there is an question asked about the witness selection procedure for the trolley work.. the good looking pioneer sister answered she can imagine the need for selection because nobody would take a book from an old age leaning forward woman without teeth.. g..
