this week on the tms, there was a talk about achan.

how i didnt see how out of wack the jws moral compass is earlier i do not know.

achan stole some valuables from jericho and for this him and his whole family was murdered in a brutal fashon and burned up by fire.

its not easy being an introvert in an extrovert worldespecially when youre a kid.

it is even more difficult if none of the adults in the kids life recognize that the child is an introvert.

this doesnt happen only when the childs parents are extroverts, but also with introverted parents who have never understood their own introverted nature.. .

Well there's Ephesians 4 and 1 Corinthians 12. Even Paul recognized that people had a variety of giftings. The lock-step ambitions of the WTS betrays their origins in the industrial era.... not the first-century Church.

I've been on the lookout for self-employed people for years. I met a graphic artist, very successful, working from home. She did it by establishing her reputation first (in New York, I believe) before moving to her country home. To keep herself front-and-center with her customers, she regularly sends post-cards of her work.

As an introvert, I loved New York. There are places I could hide there where nobody would know I existed...for years. By comparison, small towns can be the most claustrophobic. Everyone knows what you are doing.

Now, true country dwellers on the ranches and the traplines, they enjoy glorious freedom and isolation.

jws believe that god will intervene sometime in the last days!.

interestingly, both throw themselves on their own expectation of soemthing god should or will do, yet in fact something god does not have to do.

i used to be very impressed with convention experiences regarding how worldly employers would hire jws because they were known as the most honest workers.

i was too indoctrinated to realise these were selective experiences, and there are plenty of experiences of jws being dishonest in the workforce.

i have received a couple recently by email.. i have cut quite a bit out of the following email i received so that the person and company cannot be indentified, but you will get the message.. .

I know in my line of work an employee who maximizes their return while expending minimum effort means they never get promoted. Funny that.
