  Ferguson Shooting (Is my thinking on this all wrong.......)

  i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

  i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

  it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

  The incident was a fuse on a powder keg. The poor boy was a symbol of all that is wrong. However the blame is allocated, there's been an unsettled injustice in that city that has to be dealt with head-on.

  If the Governing Body Told You They Love You All Very Much, What Would Your Reply Be?

  in a letter in the 2013 yearbook of jehovah's witnesses, the governing body sign off with the words, "we love you all very much".

  these words were later echoed by one of the governing body in an address to french jehovah's witnesses in july this year.

  these words sound so marvellously compelling and heartfelt - goosebump inducing, even.. imagine the governing body wrote these words to you or expressed them to you in person- yes to you reading these very words.

  years ago, when i was studying with the witnesses, my bible studty conductor's sister in ohio died.

  of cancer as i recall.

  so he flew back to ohio ( from san diego ) to be with his family .

  i am not jehovahs' witness, so thank you for allowing me this visit.

  i have friends i respect deeply who are, and much apprecaite their faith and integrity.. however i have a problem with my jehovah witness neigbors shooting guns often, five days this week.

  Didn't the founding fathers sign their names in a circle, so none could be named the instigator? Avoid words like "behooves" and your neighbour won't know it is you.

  You've been fed a load of bull puckey. "guns are inimical to JV beliefs." They are not.

  Might you have preppers for neighbours?

  It seems to me a call to your local bylaw officer or (sherriff?) whatever you call it in the US, your town office, and see if your neighbours are violating any bylaws. If the aren't get a petition signed by your fellow concerned neighbours to stifle this gun-happy hick.

  An obvious one, if not mentioned before, is avoid caffeine in any of it's forms after lunch. That took care of one of my insomnia attacks.

  Can't even bear to hear about animal shelters? Then why would you volunteer there? Find a way to help from afar. Adopt one and make a photojournal. Don't pit yourself against your worst fears! Be kind to yourself.
