  this might be my last post.

  i've had quite a few things on my mind over the past few years, mainly my belief in god.

  i've tried to move on from the jw past but that's really being foolish.

  I am glad that living is coming around to the winning side. Wouldn't it have been great for Robin Williams to see the outpourings of admiration on this side of living?

  Maybe I can reframe normal for you. I am a normal person with an extraordinarily disrupted childhood. Think of the range between normal and crazy as a continuum, with few people surviving to adulthood without some sort of baggage. Often the only difference between those who thrive and those who shrivel is a quality called resiliency.

  In this frame of reference you have a shaded history but then so does nearly everyone else, just different.

  I would bring up shaded history only after the third or fourth date.

  I suspect the anti-anxiety drugs only work on buildup. You would have to take for months to get the effect.

  First of all I think you are expressing your pain very well.

  Second, I have to ask, by not dealing with it any more, are you contemplating suicide? I gotta ask.

  Third, if you are tired of battling it through, give yourself some R&R. Do you have some vacation time coming to you?

  Fourth, if you don't have time to take care of yourself now, when will you have time for a do-over?

  Fifth, nobody is normal and lots of people have messed up histories. Perhaps a friend with a different but similar messed up childhood would be easier to relate to.

  Finally what small change could you try this week to help you feel better?

  What was YOUR First Worldly Experience?

  while i was in florida during the spring visiting my oldest sister.

  i had the time of my life with my brother in law.. you see my sister married a non-believer and my parents viewed him as the scum of the earth, so i was terrified to ever talk to him.

  turns out he's one of the coolest people i have ever met.

  I went to a Wicca service which has a lot in common with a church service. Announcements were interesting, like the nude swim night.

  Well, I'm an "unbelieving mate". I worked very hard at introducing my hubby to our flesh and blood neighbours. My favourite were my Wicca neighbours, who I adore.

  Ferguson Shooting (Is my thinking on this all wrong.......)

  i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

  i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

  it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

  "at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.

  all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".
