  i am 46 and have been a jw for only 6 years.

  i was doing ok until about a month ago.

  we were having an international convention and i heard the brother that had to pick up 2 of the members of the governing body had to get a background check done on him and his wife.

  Fading is for Witnesses who have loved ones with whom they don't want to lose touch. Crisis of Conscience is for exiting Witnesses with questions. You are neither. You can stop attending today. Write a resignation letter if it helps you with closure but don't expect your concerns to be taken seriously.

  The reason I get excited about this sort of futurism is that we will see the change in our lifetime, it will be disruptive, and we will hardly imagine how we did without it. Imagine a street scene where no-one in sight is hooked to their PDA? When did that change happen, and why does it look so normal now?

  i just wanted to share the good news that wednesday was the last day of my summer teaching internship.

  i had a great time with the kids-- they were ready to learn, be challenged and have fun.

  and this was summer school!

  In a networked system, central control is not necessary. The cars will "talk" to each other and unlike humans, yield gracefully.

  The speaker also speaks glowingly of temporary leasing of vehicles, which means an owner's car can be working instead of parked when the owner does not need it. Right now our cars mostly remain parked. Not so in the future. This means reduced car ownership, the disappearance of parking lots.

  What will our highways look like with 1/8 the current load?

  I'd think the percentage of dreams and visions that come true is very, very low. I have never been chased down main street by lizard monkeys.

  had a pretty deep conversation with my 'still-in' wife.. came home from some business, read some more in c.of c.. then my wife is sick and will not make the meeting tonight.... .

  so we're are both home listening in to the meeting on the phone together.. it's been about a year since i've been to/listened to anything.. .

  so weird.. and i'm posting here with it on in the background.. .

  minimice a southern accent.
