Deputy Dog, thank you for your service.
That is humbling.

i was watching the news when the first plane hit the first tower.
cnbc actually.
the news people couldn't believe it was happening and thought it was a small plane that went off course.

the other day i was at a drive-thru when i saw a couple of young dubs eating inside by themselves with no chaperone.
they then left in separate vehicles.
it reminded me that when i was dating my jw wife it was her idea to take separate vehicles to avoid arousing suspicions.
it makes sex dirty because your always meant to be thinking about it. how can anyone marry if they have never been allowed to be alone? when I was younger even my phone calls got chaperoned! - I dont know one marriage that hasnt broken up. JWs must have a proportionally higher divorce rate.
Exactly. My ex-wife (typical JW rushed shotgun marriage) was one of those manic-compulsive clean the house to distraction freaks. I never even knew until we got back from the honeymoon - and we moved into my condo in Oklahoma City. I got up that Sunday night and got a piece of cheddar cheese out of the refrigerator, put it on a saucer, and started cutting off slices while I watched the late news on TV. She went more ballistic than a Soviet ICBM - for Gawds Sakes - she had ALREADY DONE THE DISHES!!! It lasted for about 1.5 hours. Then I knew (for the first time) that I had truly married a psychotic witch.
i'm trying to respect the privacy of this individual, so forgive me if i'm a little too vague in my descriptions.. this for me, was the most emotional and difficult judicial matter that i have ever experienced.
its been many years since this happened and i'm still troubled, and troubled for this individual.. a young sister had committed fornication and i was chosen to sit on the judicial committee.. the case didn't make sense at first.
she was a faithful example in the congregation and was very much liked by all.
She never came back to any of the meetings while I was still there.
The Lord works in mysterious ways. At least some good probably came of it.
when i was ex-communicated by the jw s a couple of years ago one thought ran through my mind.
had i commited the unforgivable sin?.
i have willingly divorced my wife without a scriptual reason for it.
Jwwood: that was exactly what my brother said. But what I can“t understand is how the question in itself can neglect the sin? That statment requires that I still believe in the "true holy spirit" and that the holy spirit I commited the sin against is the wrong belief? Sinning against the holy spirit is only possible if you still believe that it exist and is real? There is no accidental sin agains the holy spirit?
Maybe you are taking things a little too seriously. This is the charm of the biblical Jesus - he did not try to pose himself as honor-judge of everyone and everything.

In all due seriousness - it is this kind of practically Amish high-handed management of natural courtship which leads to so many premature (and BAD) JW marriages.
Just as the celibate priesthood of the Catholic Church attracts natural born pedophiles, so does the uber-sex-management role of the elders attract the natural born perverts to these positions.

As many have said before - this attack ranks only with Pearl Harbor as one of the most outrageous unprovoked (yes, unprovoked) acts of international hate that the good people of the United States have ever seen.
I don't know exactly why, but I could not (psycho-emotionalism, maybe?) drive my normal daily driver car this morning - it is a Porsche 911.
Even though it was raining like hell here in Dallas, I actually fired up the old Ferrari and let the Targa have her rest for the day.

Is it possible that all this repression only serves to make those JW girls even hotter than they ever should have been in the first place?
In my limited experience, I always found that a "good" JW girl could match about 3 coked up Dallas exotic dancers on any good day of the week.
Seriously.

If you are asking this question - then you manifestly did not.
i know a brother that was not scripturally free to remarry to the best of his knowledge, his ex wife was disfellowshipped in another state, his ex wife did not contact him letting him know that he is scripturally free to remarry, but the elders at his congregation knew about it, but they chose to keep it a secret from him for whatever reason???.
he did not know about it after one year after the fact!
he learned about it from a brother from another state.
He is in their words "immature"; in mine, a sociopath. They know he has no business being married and if they have an ounce of compassion they'll spare the next poor girl from being his victim.
Of course, if he were any kind of sociopath worth his salt - they probably would not be able to stop him for very long.
in a remote village, half the population lies all the time; the other half tells the truth all the time.
a traveler approaches three natives in this village.
he asks the first one, "are you a liar?
Consult Godel, Escher, Bach by Douglas R. Hofstadter.
This is a conundrum of the Godel Incompleteness Theory. (all complex formal systems can express functions that are unprovable or nonsensical)
As per the traveler to the island of Crete. A Cretin told him of their culture: "All Cretins always lie".
