Demons got into Bathsheba, Blondie - causing her to get nekkid and tempt David.
Seriously, that stupid post from "Brother Steve" carried all the logic of a very confused 7-year-old. People should think about what they put out in public.

and...i wonder if other christian denominations see ex-jw as christians simply switching denomination.
do they validate the jw baptism... in another word, for example, will the baptists re-baptize an ex-jw who wants to join their church?
unomas.... .
A little off to the side of this, but was Worldwide Church of God guy A.A.Armstrong some kind of ex-bible student or ex-witness?
I remember old-timers claiming this, and also claiming that he plaigarized the Watchtower.

I think perhaps the Demons got into this man to make him molest a girl in the Kingdom Hall. Or it's possible it was the girls fault for tempting the Brother. Satan loves to use the power of sex and womenly seduction to tempt Jehovah's people away from the Truth. Surely this is a sign we are in the last days. Now that the demons can get into the Kingdom Hall we need to protect ourselves and draw even closer to Jehovah.
So, who was at fault, "Brother Steve" - the demons, or the girl?
imagine that!.
invisible persons!.
from ancient times some of us have imagined there to be living persons that can't be seen but that are more than real!.
The above exchange just goes to show the ultimate danger of disrespecting the beer fairy.

probably not a witness - didn't see where it said - but he just took the for sale signs out of the yard, moved in, and filed strange paperwork with the county.. charged with theft of property - house was worth $380,000.. interesting, i thought, in view of the threads we had about beth sarim today..

It is not nice to disrespect the beer fairy.
but i thought it was very insightful as to the craziness of rutherford.
in these articles, he is interviewed by the san diego sun and time magazine.
i'd like to know what everyone thinks!
But he looked absolutely nuts. He visited a farm and was kissing all the fruit to bless it. Everyone laughed as if it was "cute". Seriously, I was disturbed. I remember sitting there thinking, "These people are nuts!"
People of the 1930s era that actually did believe that King David lunacy have told me that same thing around the 1960s - they laughed it off because they thought it was "cute" and maybe just a little off in a grandfatherly old man sort of way.
It is important to remember that this was exactly at the same time that the name JW was invented and that the Great Crowd/Remnant doctrine was created - the exact same time.
And they really believed King David was going to be coming back to life and walk up to the door at Beth Sarim.

It is pretty incredible that Knorr/Franz never really disowned this fraud - other than pretty much hushing up his death, forgetting about Samson and David, and just starting over...

Gecko?
Let's remember too - this all happened right in the worst depression of the 20th century.
Snare and Racket indeed...

My money is on he was crazy like a fox!
Exactly, Sylvia. He was probably doing this as much to avoid criticism from within his own org as anything else - all the while boozing it up, cruising in the Caddy, and entertaining the lady friends.
King David? Samson? Probably never seriously entered the old fraud's mind.
