Probably. Ironic to remember that about five years ago, on this board, many people were in total denial that Iran was working to get an atomic bomb, and insisted that Bush was antagonizing them because he was a rednecked idiot. Anybody still think Iran has no intentions of building a nuclear weapon now?

i am a secret fader but since reading this forum i feel i am alot more confident about telling my family/friends that i don t go to the meetings and inactive.. my hubby is also a fader with me...we kind of drifted after my first baby was born.
she is now 11.. it all started with my mom who started studying with my cousin when i was about 15. while she was studying i also started studying (i was about 16).
I just remember when I was in it. I didn´t have children when I was active. I cannot see that I would ever become active again and teach it to my children but I also don´t think I can hate it. I think that there are alot of well meaning witnesses in the organization who are just cloned and closed minded. Some live and breathe it but it´s not a healthy lifestyle.

at our service meeting it was announced that there is a change in the manner in which magazines are now to be delivered to the congregations.. up until now, magazines were sent to each kingdom hall via ups.
in years past magazines were sent to each congregation po's home address via ups.. going forward, magazines will be sent only as far as the assembly hall.
it is the responsibility of each kingdom hall to send brother(s) twice a month to drive out there, pick up the magazines, and return.. this of course saves a little bit of money for the society - shipping larger packages to fewer addresses will cost less.. however, what about the expense to the local congregations?.

with all the publications being cut back to once a month, where's the sense of urgency ?
This may be part of the problem - maybe the sense of urgency is wearing just a little thin after all these years?

Newspaper all over the country are in trouble due to peoples access to instant information via Internet and Satelite TV. Why would this not be the case for the Watchtower.
At least it would save some trees. If not some innocent people as WTBTS victims.
