Well, I am amazed to see that several of us have great tolerance for Islam (the most violent major religion on earth) while we are completely intolerant of the Jehovah's Witnesses at the same time.
It does not make sense to me.
BTW - I am not christian, so I am not apologizing for modern christianity. There have been a few nuts there as well, but it is not a worldwide movement (to do terrorist acts) in modern christianity.

Look, Zeus - I do not condone everything that christianity did in the past.
But the catholics are no longer doing religious crusades. This is the here and now - that is the difference.
To allow Islam to make religious or holy war because the catholic church used to do so in the middle ages is quite insane.

Alot of their violence and intolerant views are no different to the violence and intolerance of Christianity. It's basically arguing which is the lesser of two evils.
Are you serious? What kind of Christianity encourages suicide bombing and terrorism as a religious rite? What kind of Christianity would not denounce any nutjob member who did such things?
Christianity as a religion today is nothing like it was when the church and bible was established as an authority. Give Islam a couple of thousand years also and it too won't even resemble what it is today.

Well, irregardless of the time (or the gun thing) - I don't see why a "do not knock" law is any worse than a "do not call" law to prevent the abuse of telephone solicitation.

I don't see how any sane person could reject the JW religion and then condone and tolerate this middle-ages barbarity.
No, not all of them are suicide bombers or terrorists, not all of them mutilate or murder women. Not all JWs have killed a family member over the blood issue, either.
But the violence and intolerance is a central thread in the Islamic religion - and their religion has done nothing to effectively stop these practices or convincingly condemn them. They are playing games with the non-Islamic world by proclaiming themselves peaceful while plotting attacks.
Therefore I condemn them the same as I do the watchtower society - in fact more than the watchtower society, because of their far greater scope and danger to the civilized world.

The WT society used to own a large multi-kingdom hall in Pittsburgh, PA - it was used by several local congregations and I believe for small assemblies. So, it was sort of an early day multi-congregation KH and assembly hall.
I attended the servant/overseers school there in the winter of 1970. The head instructor was Al Schroeder, later of the governing body.
This hall had a commercial-style kitchen and dining room in the basement and a couple of bethel boys were there to cook. The school students were asked to "volunteer" to cook on the weekend.
Somebody posted here that the society eventually decided that this building no longer suited their purposes and sold it a number of years ago.

We had an Islamic taxi driver here in Dallas who shot his two teenage daughters to death in the back of his cab because they refused his orders to stop seeing non-Islamic American boyfriends.
He escaped with the aid of his community friends.
As far as I know, he is still missing.
