I am reminded of a few recent stories in the news:

Weird Nut-Case Mormon "lifestyle" offshoots who marry their own inbred second cousins.
Mom and Kate makes Eight (before dating others and the having the well-publicized breakup).
The Houston, Texas mother of five who finally was driven so crazy by the "husband from God" that she drowned them all in the bathtub.
And, sadly - that California 11 year old girl that time and the cops forgot until she was found barefoot and mother of two.

40 year old carmen has her picture on the page...a plain looking girl but she says: "i enjoy what i have, and don't dream of what i don't have.
" also interviewed are loli and lidana who are good looking but also can't find a husband.
This kind of flies in the face of Adam being 'lonely' when things were first getting started for the human race.
And of course it also flyes in the face of the legend of Lilith - the witch that Adam loved before the gift of Eve. Seems that some of the bad Angels with "tendencies" may have had a few moments of fun too...
I always kind of wondered exactly what she looked like...
Kind of figured her as a sultry brunette - but, enough said...
the bible speaks about adam naming the animals in the garden of eden.. any thoughts about how long that would have taken ???.
i mean, you have steve and betty the sheep, mike and nancy the dogs, miguel and maria the zebras, irv and amanda the cats, etc, etc, etc.. it doesn't seem like it would take a long period of time.
plus, he was alone at the time so he wasn't getting pestered from his wife and kids about what the names should be.
Not to mention all the bacteria.

I seems like EVERYBODY failed this girl at one point or another. The court system that let him out, The police who were actually called out that he was holding kids in tents in his back yard, the parole officer who never even checked him out in about 17 years!!!, the neighbors who let him just hang out on their property all that time, yes - perhaps even the girl's parents or guardians who could have held everybody's feet to the fire more to find their girl.
Most of all, of course, the guy and his wife that did this. (Provided the wife is of competent mental order, which could be a real question...)

news just broke that a pretty, blond 11 year old girl adbucted 18+ years ago was found.
her kidnapper kept her hidden for 18+ years, had 2 kids with her, and was picked up handing out religious literature at a college.
now, it surfaces that he has ties with the jehovah's witnesses.
That is a very common accurance in these situations, in as little as months that can happen, much less years.
Probably very much the same thing happened to the wife (and she will now have to pay almost as much for this crime as the sicko himself).
Wonder if being a JW pre-conditioned her to be tolerant of this kind of living hell? We shall probably never know.
recently, there was a very nice thread in which one of our posters apologized for having the temerity to challenge barbara anderson.. i thought it was very nice to see that they made up and put the personal stuff aside.. however, i felt the need to call it like i really feel it - i was very put off by the barbara anderson reply in which she plugged her new promotional meeting.
it brought back memories of that horrid little affair from a couple of years back when she kept posting up "the greatest new thing about blood which will bring down the watchtower society is just around the corner -- and i could tell you but then i would have to kill you, etc."..
just like another jehovah's witnesses prophecy about the coming of the lord in our time.. i am beginning to wonder if perhaps the siren song of self-promotion is getting a little too strong for real life.. ok. i said it.. james - and saying it was not the easiest thing that i have ever done.
