  the truth about messiah and what he acheived in the 1st century is something millions of believers in christ refuse to accept namely the historical record of things all fulfilled in that momentous 1st century.it is rejected because the -isms, man made doctrines, theologies, false teachings etc etc that abound since then and so millions have allowed themselves to be brainwashed,conditioned into.

  the reality is so simple if one lets messiah remain with his intent and meaning.

  but if we change his own words, we become divided.

  just read your thread about oblivion to oblivion, watched the video you posted and wondered if you'd be willing to let me send you some videos on the book of mormon.

  as you may know, i'm lds and i believe there's substantial evidence for the historicity of the book.

  but i'm also aware there's evidence and proof.

  I think my fade has hit a rut. Do I need to grow a pair?

  so here i am after about 18 months of wake up.

  the first 6 months were a rollercoster of feelings as my whole belief system unravelled.

  the last year has been more stable but things seem like they are just stalling now.. my wife is aware of many of my feelings although i have held back the fact that i am pretty close to denying all belief in any kind of god.

  from purely anecdotal evidence, i believe women are more indoctrinated on average.

  i can openly disagree with the governing body with men and it results in a discussion however, most women i've talked to have immediately shut me down by ending the conversation.

  the only person currently shunning me is a woman.

  i was already on my way to my second fade when i went to the wildlife photographer of the year 2012 exhibition, but this photo made me lose faith in the idea of a loving creator......(the gazelle has been injured by the mother cheetah so she can use it to train her cubs to hunt).

  i'm not ignoring the pain that thousands of disfellowshipped jw's suffer or the needless deaths or undealt with abuses.

  to all these people the watchtower society is far from irrelevant - it's the cause of their misery, isolation and loss.. so what do i mean?.

  if we want to make a difference then our focus needs to be on people.

  in the uk if you commit a crime the judge will hand you down a sentence based on guidelines.

  fair enough.. .

  if you commit the same crime and a newspaper editor chooses to make you front pages news your sentence will be longer based on the fact that justice needs to be seen to be done.. .

  he was father to three children and two grandchildren.
