At first I considered Reniaa a balancing voice, I am now finding her quite annoying. I didn't want to be impolite but to say I despise those around me really pee's me off, most of family and friends are active and faithful JW's. They are genuine people, who I am sure are too scared to look further than noses because they know what the consequences will be. My only hope is that we all get enlightened and DF'd together or the Borg goes bang and everyone is free- some hope.

i've started playing games to make the meetings go faster, for example, i have started annoying the hall servant by making silly requests such as asking him to turn the aircon on, then 10minutes later saying things like , "thanks for that but it looks like sister elderly is getting cold - she has just put her jumper on".
i also look for brothers and sisters who haven't got one or the books or the okm and make a real meal at getting one to them (its amazing how much noise you can make fumbling around the literature cupboard).. i am running out of ideas, can anyone else suggest something to to take the dullness out of the meetings.

Renaii, I am a nice guy. I have had doubts which I have kept in obeiance for many years, waiting for answers. The reason I came here, because a friend of mine who expressed his doubts, and didn't the answers was disfellowshipped. My friend was a 100% genuine lover of the truth and has been treated like crap. I am now not suspossed to associate with a lifelong friend, because a JC decided he was apostate because they didn't like the questions he was asking and didn't take, you'll have to wait and see for an answer.
What this forum has done for me, is helped me to see that I have dedicated over 40 years of my life to a totally uncaring organisation that claims to be the mouthpiece for a loving God, but shows no love to those who use their god given intelligence to ask questions. This forum has shown me that other have been treated in an appalling way, just because they have questions. It has opened my eyes to how controlling the GB are and how the rank and file are led like lemmings.
FYI I probably would play games in other religious meetings, I am not partisan.

Reniaa, I do not despise those around me. They have been misled in the same way I have. I despise the manipulative, controlling methods used by those who are suspossed to dispense refreshment to those weary of heart. These people change policy to suit the situation, they lie about these policy changes, they spit people out who legitimately ask questions and encourage the break up of families to retain control. Yes Reniaa I do despise such despicable behaviour, and if if I can help my friends see that they are being misled I will do whatever I have to.

Newwitness, welcome to the board. You will meet sometruly lovely people in your congregation. They will provide a great deal of support and make you feel welcome. By and large they are genuinely wonderful people. They will tell you that the organisation the safest place to be. That the world that you have left is full of evil and doomed for iminent destruction. People who ahve left the organisation will be described to you foolish, if they speak against the christian congregation they are wicked, working on behalf of Sata, he is angry that you have become baptised and wants you back in the world because he wants to take as many people down with him as possible.
You will also be told that loved ones you have lost in death will be seen again, in a beautiful paradise, in fact the christian congregation is a spiritual paradise and will give you a taste of what is to come.
But newwitness, as you continue to to grow spiritually you will have questions. Ask them, don't allow answers that indicate that time will reveal the truth, we don't have it YET. The truth should be simple, logical and clear. It should be verifiable and strong enough to withstand reasonable questioning.
Remember Jehovah is a God of love. Think about what you are being taught with regard to the destruction of innocent children, find out out what disfellowshipping really means to family members and investigate why a heamophilliac in the 1980's could not accept factor VIII and would die, but one today can be treated with factor VIII and live. Wpould a loving god want his friends to undergo suffering because of a policy, even if there was theopportunity for life everlasting in the future.
Ask questions about the year 1914 and the generation that would see the begining and end of the events leading to Armageddon. Ask why in the 1920's an announcement was made that millions now living will never die. Ask why Original sin of humans resulted in the cruelty found in the animal kingdom.
If you ask these questions and properly investigate them, using a full range of resources from liraries or the internet, and are satisfied that you have found the answers then I congratulate you. If not be careful that you don't isolate yourself from previous friends ,acquintances and family, because you may one day need them more than you can imagine.
Ohhh and read Ray Franz's book crisis of conscience with an open mind - there's nothing to fear, just an insight into how the organisation works.
