The oddest thing I have ever seen is a power struggle for who would be the next PO after our old was pronounced terminally ill. It was worse than a political coup.

Blood and the Hospital Liaison Committee
by BathroomServant1 inbefore i ask the question i have, i'll present some background information.. my story: when i was 16, i was hospitalized with bone marrow cancer for an extended period of time.
of course, the blood issue came up as doctors noticed that i may quickly need one.
at the time being fully "in", i refused one, but being a minor the doctors pushed the issue to the court system.

Bathroom servant, there is no clear direction as such but there are policy documents that refer to not being disfellowshipped for taking blood. What they fail to stress is your actions will be taken as voluntary dissassociation. The legal dept use the "can't be disfellowshipped" line in court when defending human rights allegations.

November 15 2009 Watchtower (Study Edition) - Treasure Your Place in the Congregation...
by CrazyBlonde inthought this one was quite creepy - the article to be studied january 11-17 "treasure your place in the congregation", page 13 para 5 reads (italics mine):.
"the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience" is so widespread that it is like the air we breathe.

Now i'm out of the cult this kind of blatant manipulation and mind control jumps off the page...still can't believe i didn't see it before.
BorgHater I know exactly what you mean, I am so glad I did explore the internet and began to see the mind control for myself. Lets hope many more active dubs do the same and see the light.

November 15 Watchtower (Study Edition) - discourages showing affection to your spouse
by CrazyBlonde inanother gem from the same edition - article to be studied december 28 - january 3 (which most will miss lol coz of summer vacation) entitled "what do your prayers say about you?
" page 6 para 19 reads:.
19 when we are being represented in public prayer, we need to display reverential "fear of god.

Absolutely ridiculous. How much control do they want to impose on the everyone? I can't see how anyone can be stumbled by people showing a little affection during a meeting. Next thing will be to limit respiration during meetings in order to prevent someone from mistakingly thinking that you are breathing heavily because of some inappropriate thought.

Of course this is a sign of the last days, we should be raising our heads erect because our deliverance is getting near. I really used belive that BS and overlook the human tragedy behind such disasters. Even those not effected by death and injury will have to rebuild their lives and face a long period of ongoing trauma.

Isn't "knickers" a French derived word? I actually prefer the word "Panties"

Other religions I personally feel are much more giving than the Witnesss are
by Leprechaun injehovahs witnesses, they dont help people like the mormons do from their bishops store house, or the salvation army and a host of other religions, i wonder how they get away with that in gods eyes.
and even if youre a jehovahs witness you dont get much from the gb for working you ass off if they do it is a meager amount, or just donated time from others if your sick or something, they want people to work their asss off on some kingdom hall build for free food and donuts & coffee and if you fall off a ladder and break your back or skull just try to get compensated for your medical somehow from the gb, and watch their legal department send you a letter that will say your shit out of luck buddy, i wonder if that has ever happened.
