thinking of the story of the way that jehovah, through samuel and saul, dealt with the amalekites; with the discovery of the criminal gene, could this justify the god of the bibles actions against these nations, when he put out the order to not have compassion for them, and the israelites were ordered to put to death, man as well as woman, child as well as suckling...??
I don't care what his position is or how powerful he is. The killing of innocent babies, by an intelligent being is never justified, it is an abuse of position and power.

I love the way Jehovah procrastinates.
obviously a book written for kids by old dumb morons at bethel the book starts with abels murder {with pictures for the kids} people begging to get into the ark before drowning to death...a good lesson for kiddies!
a women putting a tent peg thru someones temple {with pictures} moses killing an egyptian.
etc a horrified atheist lady returned the books my mother gave as "gifts" {count 2 placements} after seeing the horrific topics, she decided it was "not apropriate for her kids.".
The first editions were printed in 3 colour and were rather dull. The later editions were 4 colour (to keep the kids awake after playing passive computer games).
It is a corporate term. All publicly owned companies have an Annual General Meeting, where stakeholders and shareholders have the opportunity to be briefed on the strategic direction for the next year and interrogate the results of the last. Many charities and private club hold AGMs also.People may call it the Annaual Meeting buty you can bet your bottom dollar the G stands for General

Angel Eyes they say that because that is what 99% of Jehovah's Witnesses believe. Here's an example of how this works. My friend will not speak to his daughter. He says she has broken his heart by leaving Jehovah. She was DF'd because she wanted out of an extremely unhappy marriage to someone she should have never married. Her husband is a great guy and she is a lovely charming woman, but they were never meant to be. She had an affair and divorced him and was DF'd. Her dad tells me she has taken a stand against Jehovah, it is her choice that we don't have anything to do with her. He can't see that his abandonment of her is completely irrational and most unkind. She needs him now more than ever.

today, i'm not quite sure how it started, but i voiced my concerns about the religion i've been brought up in since i was 3. my dad went straight on the offensive, though kept nice and polite.
i told them that someone can not be df for accepting a transfusion.
not sure why i started with that example, but nevertheless... dad said 'since when' and started pumping me for information, when, where, what...you get the picture and biggest one of all 'how do you know this'.
