  "Studies" are allowed to give talks?????

  my sister who is a active jw texted me today to let me know that her boyfriend who is "studying" is going to give his first talk a week from this wednesday.

  i always thought you had to be a publisher to speak on stage.

  oh ya, not to mention he still smokes cigaretts.

  I was offered to give a talk when I was just in study by one Elder and I had to ask a different Elder for the talk and I was offended when the Elder acted hesitant and wanted to ask me stuff like, if I have any worldly girlfiends or if I smoked then wanted to have a meeting to see if I quallified.

  It offended me because one Elder was trying to get me to give a talk and the other was hesitant and if I did not no the rules I would not have asked so I quit going to the meetings for awhile.

  I went back some time later and I do beleive they have a set of questions for MS that are similar for unbaptized publisher.

  the trangression (sin) causing desolation has a lot to do with the new covenant and .......... holy spirit.. .

  after all jesus christ said he would forgive our sins and so what is the transgression guaranteed to cause desolation.. .

  What about employers now wanting to know everything about you, wanting you to take all sorts of tests interviewing thousands of people before they hire even just one. Now that is a sure waste of a lot of gasoline, not to mention eaverones time spent applying for the job , and to top it off they don't find a better person to work for them then they would have the old fashion way.

  More and more it seems as though there is no local community business owners, and before you no it there will be a handfull of internet sluts in control of everything.

  The more we give into filling out aplications the more we are feeding this dog eat dog world.

  Just remember this guy playing religious music and told me that would bring him more work because people would think he was a good person, and I played rock and roll in the back of the building and got all the work.

  From that I would think that a person not religious may wear a cross with Jesus on it to make other people think they are a good person.

  Living in the western "rich" world we are spoiled and don't understand harships! Agree?

  just saw a documentary on bolivia how a woman gets up while it's dark, puts a barrel on her head and walks 10 miles to get water for the day from a filthy well we would not swim in!....thats what 1 billion or more people have to do everyday!

  they also scavenge for a hand full of rice or dirty flour...meanwhile, i buy 4 litre "springwater" and run down to the supermarket to pick what fruit, vegetables, meat, i want to eat today.. our kids want nike shoes and ps 3 while there kids need food and medicine.....and clean water!

  i jump in a nice car and complain about petrol prices, while they walk many miles a day to work and home......i think we are lucky but don't know it, just born on the good side of the world.. agree?.

  Sometimes I wonder what ever happened to that saying that you are happiest when you are poor.

  I wonder if it is because too many of us have had a taste of this obscured good life of riches.

  Some times I also wonder if I would be happier living where everyone is loving and poor.

  Dear Lord if you will not make me rich then make everyone else poor...

  Anyone here have Bi-Polar II?

  i wanted to see if there were some people on here with this disorder, and what kind of symptoms you have/had, so any input is welcome.. i have some symptoms that, from what i have read, sound very similar, but i have never been one to go seeking out diagnoses for myself and am very wary of the pitfalls associated with that.. in any case, i'd be interested to hear from others about this.....

  I think a lot of times they give the wrong diagnosis and confuse Bipolar with PTSD and I am pretty sure that a lot of JWs especially Ex-JWs have PTSD.
