Would you accept a microchip implant?

assuming the governments would pass a law requiring everyone to have a microchip i.d.

implant with gps tracking capabilities, storing your personal and financial data but also record all your movements.. would you be for or against it?.

personally i don't have a problem with it but i'm just wondering , what would be the drawbacks for the normal, law abiding citizen?.

I don't think the microchip is the mark of the beast. Just as I did not believe credit cards, etc. was a mark of the beast.

I beleive the mark of the beast is a symbol of the condition of the heart that can not be seen except by God.

I don't know how to explain but I think the mark has to do with being greedy and being attatched to material things, and the mark on the right hand symbolizes the work that you do with your hand(s) to acquire worldly gain.

Would you accept a microchip implant? That is a tough question brought up by satan to cause fear to make it impossible to love God and your Nieghbors, and I would not like a foriegn object in my body, just as I don't like all the extra gagdets on cars that make for more things to go wrong, and I preffer to drive my old Chevy

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shined his flashlight around, looking for valuables when a voice in the dark said,'Jesus knows you're here.'He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off, and froze.

Who is responsible if a Witness falls on your property while preaching?

yesterday morning around 10:00 a.m.,my dog was barking non- stop.

i was upstairs and thought maybe a rabbit or bird was in my back yard.

i looked out the back window and found nothing.

One thing is the WTS takes no responsibility, thinking back on an anouncment made at the KH when it was anounced that anyone out in service comes to a property that is posted no tresspassing that if the individual decides to go in anyway that individual would be responsible for any law suit.

I thought that sounded sick. ( The governing body sends people out to work for them but the governing body does not protect the workers )

Are JWs discouraged from seeking mental help?

my husband was raised in this religion, but was never baptized and does not go to meetings, although my mil is heavily involved.

although my husband doesn't practice his religion, he believes it is the truth and i hate asking him questions, because he is very defensive of the religion.

he and his mother, many years ago before i knew either of them, were treated for severe depression and hospitalized (at different times as a result of them going through divorces.

I was at a meeting one time when they announced that so and so was at a mental hospital and other members where incouraged to visit or help the member.

JWs are not discouraged however they are in selfdeniel. (have mental problems and not aware of them) That is very serious

Funny thing to do at the meetings

i was at a worldy funeral the other day and say those little prayer cards on a table.

i thought to myself, wouldn't it be great to buy a bunch of these and drop a few every once in a while at the hall.

you could do it for months and drive the attendants crazy looking for them before anyone sees them and gets stumbled.. any fun tricks that you can think of?.

leave a cigarette but laying around hear and there once in awhile, like along the path outside the door or in the restroom. Just enough to make them wonder who is smoking.

Better yet just stay away from the A$$et'$

How long is a "generation"?

there seems to be so much controversy over defining what exactly a 'generation' is.. i have heard it said a generation is 25 years; some claim it is 40 years; and some even say 70 years.. i think the scriptures describe the 70 years as life expectancy, with mightiness 80 years or something like that.. i don't think it is accurate to define the length of generation as the same length of time as life expectancy, but i could be wrong.. .

anyway, i am wondering if anyone has ever done the math on this scriptural clue:.

matthew 1:17 so all the generations from abraham to david are fourteen generations; and from david until the carrying away into babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into babylon unto christ are fourteen generations.. if one follows the lineage and a date timeline, would this give more accurately the approximation of a generation?.

Do the Differences Between Spiritual Beliefs Really Matter?

one of the themes i think about every now and again is that of the nature of belief, the purpose of religion, and the presense of truth.. specifically, do the differences between spiritual beliefs really matter?

meaning that, if every religion is just an amalgamation of different combinations of mysticisms, does it really matter if we are protestants, catholics, quakers, mormons, muslims, pagans, jews, or even jehovah's witnesses?

further, does it really matter whether we believe in god or not?

As we as humans are imperfect ( It is imposible for us to know the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth) We are not responsible for not being perfect.

The bible ( Scrolls ) were written in another time period were man understood things different then us ( modern man ) also written in a very different language, but I believe that it was written to help comfort us, when we need a crutch. ( That is all )

With all the differences in opinions or beliefs helps insure me that God does have a plan, and no differences in beliefs is going to change God's plan...

I am beginning to believe that we are all going to make it thru a transition very soon. ( harder for some than others )For me seeing is believing and I have seen some things that no one else has seen and no one else would understand or believe so I am not going to bother confusing any one with it.
