  Does WTS promotes child abuse?

  i could not beleive my ears one sunday in a public talk when the speaker was stating and brought up scripture that "all scriptures are inspired of god and benificial for teaching" stating that gods law before mans law and the government says that you can not spank kids but the bible says "spare the rod spoil the child".. the speaker did not come right out and say you have to spank kids but that would be the way a child abuser would take it don't you think?.

  also sounds like they are mocking the government and the law of the land.... i don't know is it just me or did it give me flashbacks?

  the speach sure upset me....

  My younger brother and I was having bible studies, we were acting up because the duble life JW friends up the street were influincing us even that was no excuse that we were bad, but the bible teacher told us that if we did not make a comment the next time he was going to whip us, so brother and I hid in the bushes.

  I thought for awhile when I was starting to be brain washed that the bible teacher should have told us that it is important to study when your young although your young is the reason you don't want to study but it is important to study when your young because your young mind absorbs information like a sponge.

  In any case, it is better to reward for doing good with children. I don't think you need to hit them, it only makes them mad. They might mind for a little while but pay backs are a MF'er.

  I heard this bible teacher is in another country keeping kids in line... His own kids in the states will not have anything to do with him...

  Just remembering coments made about avoiding being corupted and some guy made a coment about instead of flipping thru the channals to find a good show to watch you should use a tv guide so you don't run into anything pornographic, I was thinking WTF there is just as much if not more pornograghic stuff in the tv guide, if you pay attention to it either way.

  They don't let teachers spank kids now either, but just remembering one time I got a spanking by the principle, he could not make me cry because my dad would spank me again if I cried so I got to were I could block out pain. Well any way the principle spanked me with a ruler and I laughed so he stuck two rulers together and I still laughed so he got out a yard stick and spanked me and I laughed and he really was getting angry and broke the yard stick on my rear and about that time as he put the two peices of yard stick together I was getting tired of it and pretended that the two peices of yard stick really hurt so he would stop the nonesense.

  At another school I knew I had a spanking coming from a princible and knew he had a big pattle with holes in it and that would really hurt, so I put a comic book in my shorts and he started spanking me, only I forgot to cry so he investigated and found the comic book and did I really get it then.

  It was shortly after that that they stopped the spankings in schools.

  It was only a couple years ago I seen a girl at the KH take her boy in to the ladies room and you could hear it all over the KH. I did not see the boy do anything and I reported it to the DHS. I never heard anything but noticed the boys were not at the meetings for awhile.

  I am not from CA area nore do I have info for you... Sorry

  But I was thinking about asking sometime if others on this forum have been beaten by other JW's other than their own parents. I remember after my Mother left my abusive father I was just starting to feel a releaf that I wasn't going to be beaten anymore and this fat witness lady that always wore a house dress to the meetings grabbed me while I was playing at a party and beat me, I learned real quick to never get with in her reach again, but it did something to me, I noticed when I thought about the incodent I would hear birdies and started noticing more as time went on that I would hear the birdies, the birdies are gone now about forty years later but just now realize why I was hearing the birdies. It was because I was very angry about it, and when something else made me the least bit angry I would hear the birdies again, and that is why I beat up all the bullys in school.

  So far I have been able to avoid them because I see them comining and I turn the other direction. Seen one at the grocery store yesterday in an isle I was about to go down and seen her just in time, seen an elder going into a store and I drove by did a different erand and come back when he was gone. Had a couple come to my door a little while ago and I did not answer the door, they come to my back door too and I still did not answer. They were not elders, the elders would not look at me before I left and pretty sure they know I am mad at them and could stump them all together. I would not hurt the two that come to my door but I hope to never talk to a JW again. I love them actually but they trigger my PTSD and I don't want to hurt them.
