  Apostates are to be "LOATHED"...

  this weekend assy first day thankfully over!

  had a good laugh at arrogant prick do last talk saying apostates are to be "loathed" and used a scripture in psalms that simply had the word "loathe" in it to support his weak point.

  im gonna happen by him tomorrow and tell him his final talk had such an impact on me i tore out proverbs, ecclesiastes, and song of solomon out of my bible cause those books were written by an apostate.

  I was just thinking, is it not the book of Psalm is in the old testamate and is it that the old testamate was under the mosaic law, and we were lifted from the mosaic law or the mosaic law does not apply any more with the ransom sacrefice Jesus Christ.

  This is what Jesus said according to their own translation of the holy scriptures...

  Mathew 43 “Y OU heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 However, I say to YOU : Continue to love YOUR enemies and to pray for those persecuting YOU ; 45 that YOU may prove yourselves sons of YOUR Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. 46 For if YOU love those loving YOU , what reward do YOU have? Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing? 47 And if YOU greet YOUR brothers only, what extraordinary thing are YOU doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing? 48 Y OU must accordingly be perfect, as YOUR heavenly Father is perfect.

  Long-Term Effects of Physical Abuse

  obviously this is a very personal matter.

  i can't believe i'm posting it here but i need to make myself.

  i'm probably going to regret this.. i have discussed before that i was physically abused and neglected as a jw child.

  Child abuse with the witnesses is something really hard because no one understands it, I know from personal experience, it is probably worse than being in the Vietnam war were many in service have developed post traumatic stress disorder. I have talilked to psyics, one says to me that I have ptsd under the worse case cinario ever heard of and doesn't understand how I have made it this far in life with out hurting myself or some one else and at the very least serving a life sentence in prison, but you know what has really helped me is knowing what it is that is bothering me, that is the key.

  You will never get over it, there is no cure, but it is treatable... What happens is there are events that happen that remind you of the past and your body has a physical memory and the events trgger your physical memory and sometimes to me I have noticed that it is like stepping through a time zone or another deminsion or something then you start reliving the past experiences as if they are still hapenning when they are not. For me the best thing to do is assert myself work really hard on something and wait for it to pass and realize that it will pass. Don't loose any sleep over it, it is vital that you get your reast, and stay away from things that remind you.

  You may need medication especially if you can not get your rest, I don't know you should consult a doctor on that. I think it is better if you can do it with out med.s myself, but again I am not a Doctor...

  They usually prescribe seroquel and lexapro.

  Be careful if you self medicate, that is pretty common for someone with ptsd to do. Stay away from the uppers...

  I would like to have a big fat Doobby about now myself.

  i have had this book for several years; it's in excellent condition.

  i have posted infrequently here; follow up posts on occasion regarding this book that i have, yet still no takers.

  the local library were awkward; insert charlie brown adult voice.

  Don't give it away anyway... It would get better use if you sell it...

  My art teacher told me you never give away art, because they will not take care of it, if you sell it to them it is more valuable to them and they will take care of it.

  Does Anyone Know the Reading Level of Society Lit?

  the thread on pros of being a jw (not filled with many) led me to wonder if anyone has scientifically assessed the reading level of the average wt, awake, books.

  i thought 5th grade but it is a guess.

  software exists now to evaluate reading comprehension levels necessary to read documents.
