Thank you, Room 215. The idea that the psalm applied primarily to the anointed was given without any proof.

Fear of Worldly People
by ItsJustMe inanyone else felt uncomfortable, awkward, wary, unsure, frightened, distraught, when around worldly people?
afraid they were going to try to seduce you, offer you drugs, get you drunk, kill you, etc?.

I have to laugh that everyone took my question quite so literally. I used a little bit of exaggeration to convey a point - that most witnesses avoid worldy people to the point that they seem to feel that they are visiting another country/culture whenever they are around them.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
by siegswife inthe elder that was studying with my husband last year called him last night.
during the conversation my husband told him that he's been finding out some troublesome info about the jw's, like their association with the un.
he also mentioned that he has a problem with the way they treat members who raise questions about the teachings of the society and the way they treat ex members.

You should review some of the threads started by hawk. Or I started a thread called something like "One More Question about the UN thing" that ended up being filled with lots of excellent information, which he kindly refilled with everything he had researched.

JW Bosses
by Liberated indo they close up shop for the holidays?.
as jw's we didn't mind having the day off and, judging from the holidays i was out in service as a new jw, most did not use that day to knock on doors.. but what if your boss is a jw and so are the employees, do they get the holiday off?
and go out in field service?

Brothers working for brothers in the construction field....
They never know until a day or two before if they are going to have the holidays off. If they ask, they are looked at funny because they don't celebrate the holidays, why would they want the time off? Can't plan any vacations around the holidays because they have no clue if the time will be given off.

Don't know who said as it one of this flip-a-day calendars and is not accredited:
We often feel so confused about what we really want and what is good for us. We are so accustomed to doing what is expected of us that we have lost our ability to determine what it is we want. It's much better to be confused than to be certain about something that's not right.
