  this site is called "a discussion forum for jehovahs witnesses.

  " maybe "for jehovah's witnesses entertainment" would fit better..

  A true jw should not be visiting this forum, based on the GB direction against internet social sites. But if a jw wants to bend the rules, then maybe the postings on this forum will open their eyes to what the BORG really is.

  As in all forums, some information is of value and some is not. When postings start to degrade others on this forum, then that bothers me. It then reminds me of the back-biting that occurred in the cong.

  I deeply appreciate the comments of those who share research on various Bible beliefs and share their thoughts. For example I appreciate the insight that Blondie, as well as others, provide on this forum.

  Will the "Vetting and Barring Scheme (UK) affect J W's?

  the local media are hyping this government scheme.

  it will require all employees and volunteers, having regular access to children and vulnerable adults, to be vetted and registered as having no record of abusing, or other reason why they should not be around children.. it does not cover personal arrangements between parents but if, say, a scout group ask a person to help out or transport kids to and from meetings, they must register or face a fine.. now when i was a dub, i was an appointed man, but all dubs may be asked to take somebodies child in service.

  Thanks for sharing this information. It sounds like the jws will need to get a religious exemption to these rules.

  Should Elderly People Be Forced To Show ID If They Want To Buy Alcohol?

  in a local convenience store, the owners have installed an id checker for anyone purchasing alcohol.

  they require you to put your id in this machine to determine whether or not you are of legal age.

  even if you are 85 years of age, you have to comply or you can't buy a beer!.

  That is scary to have ones driver license scanned by a business.

  I would avoid that business if at all possible.

  Another program to push the flock into doing more.

  Keep busy with the preaching work and the end will be here.

  The reason the end is not here yet is because more preaching needs to be done. So these jws need to do more work.

  Judicial Committees - "Works Beffitting Repentance"

  a couple years ago the cos and dos were pushing a letter at elders meetings about being more critical of so-called repentant wrongdoers and being tougher on such claims.

  do their recent works prove it.

  don't just believe tears.

  JCs were the most difficult for me. Like cantleave stated, the ability to "read hearts" is not in our possession.

  The requests for reinstatement were not pleasant either. Because even if the jc thought the individuals were repentant, they still had to wait for almost a year just to see if their works befit repentance.

  her brother is suffering greatly in hospital..so please do as i am begging you to do.

  Elders Trash Face Book

  just found out that elders and spies are trolling face book and my space.

  some elders in xxx congregation began trolling face book looking for wayward souls and using the links to other friends etc to get more info.

  they waited until they had enough ammo on the 'friends' and then printed off some of the conversations being had....questioned the 'friends' who of course denied everything..and then they produced the printed copies to catch them in the lies.

  It is so weird that the WTS condemns the use of facebook and yet the elders use it. What a waste of time for these elders. They must not have any personal lives anymore.

  Football is the Devil!

  (i had to quote the waterboy!).

  with the start of (american) football upon us, i was laughing this past weekend when a friend and i were remembering a km school we attended.. the visiting "brother" (losch) basically went on a tirade against sports, but specifically football.

  you would have thought that watching an nfl game was akin to sitting in ancient rome cheering on the lions in the colliseum eating christians.

  Blondie commended in a posting a few months ago quoting from a WT magazine about the bowl games being just like Roman Colliseum games. It was very interesting.

  Yet all the jws that I know make a special effort to see the Super Bowl and other football games.

  I remember a co playing baseball with ones in the area. One hit a baseball and hit a player in the head, knocking him temporarily out. After walking the brother off the field and ascertaining that he was OK, then the game continued.

  Ever had some Witness storm out or turn off a Movie you were watching! Which one?

  i was watching steve martin "leap of faith" pg rated mind you with some witnesses.

  he plays a fake faith healer.

  their were a couple swear words, and the brothers asked me to switch it off.. same thing happened with christine applegate movie {pg 13} "don't tell mom the babysiters dead.

  There is a jw family that will walk out of your house if you are playing Beauty and the Beast or Sleeping Beauty because they consider these movies as spiritistic.
