Coming from someone who symbolically eats the flesh and drinks the blood of their savior? This is rich!

by StopTheTears inafter leaving christianity it's common especially among the young to experiment with witchcraft.
some get drawn into it by getting involved with earth movements and back to nature groups.. .

Just wanted you to know, none of you are intriguing. Rather, you're all quite repulsive.
by Theocratic Sedition innot saying that's my personal opinion, but this week's congregation bible study asks the viewpoint question, "would apostate literature or internet sites intrigue you or repulse you?
"- jeremiah book, page 70, para 7. .
gotta love it.. i guess apostate sites are like crime scenes.

The last time I ate out with a bunch of JWs, half of them ate half or more of their meal, then claimed that it sucked and they wanted something else. I felt so sorry for our poor waitress.

Reddit thread: I just turned 21, and Im close to committing suicide
by thecrushed ini saw this thread this morning and i can't get it out of my head.
it reminds me so much of my own feelings of hopelessness at that age.
i did the stupid thing and turned to doing copious amounts of drugs and never dealt with the problem only to be sucked back into the cult later at my lowest point of drug addiction.

Poor guy. I've been in the same place: quiet and shy, then having the mindf*ck of being a witness on top of that. I hope he hangs in there.

"We get presents all year; who needs Christmas"
by WTWizard ini don't know how many times i have heard that lie from the platform.
i have heard that line of rubbish at big and great boasting sessions as well.
the witlesses act as if they get as many toys as worldly people, just scattered throughout the year.. now, i have seen many cases where that simply isn't true.

"We get presents all year; who needs Christmas"
It's a lie that Witnesses tell themselves, trying to make themselves feel better about no holiday fun. I've been trying to remember just how many wrapped gifts I got as a child- my parents joined when I was about 6 years old. I remember the last Christmas we celebrated and... no wrapped gifts until I got my graduation presents.
Don't get me wrong, my parents did give gifts. They were few and far between though. And I heard my dad grumbling about how we didn't deserve the gifts that we did get. That really made our presents enjoyable : /

anyway, posted to her "things for my wall" category is one of those "keep calm and..." memes and this one says, "keep calm and shun the non believers" to which a host of my former "friends" have added their 'lols' and 'ha ha ha's' and "yes!
" comments and, it just makes me rage.. i know it is stupid to go looking for trouble after all, why visit the public pages (facebook, pinterst, etc.

The unicorns and the "Shun the non-believers" line is from Charlie the Unicorn. It's at about 1:15.

A milestone for my Grandson, David
by coffee_black indavid turned 18 yesterday.
(he is the one who walked from orlando, fl to washington, dc a little over 3 years ago on behalf of homeless children) i wrote about that on the forum back then.
what i didn't write about is that david has grown up without a father....not because he doesn't exist, but because his father has chosen to live his life of drugs and violence.

Wow, an advocate for homeless and standing up to a bully (his own father, nonetheless); it'll be interesting to see what he does in the future!

Badass Female Bible Characters
by Kudra inhi, this thread is inspired by the "bible characters trading cards" thread.... can we come up with a great list of female bible characters that were strong, decisive and inspiring?.
scully mentioned ja'el: drugging and driving a tent spike through the head (we all remember the awesome bible stories illustration) of the enemy general.. list yours along with a description of why they were so badass!.

Herodias, who told her daughter Salome to ask for the head of John the Baptist. Sure, it was a bitchy thing to do, but that was a badass piece of revenge.
