Many advices are needed! No prudes are allowed here, please. Thank you!
by asilentone inwell, let me tell you about my experience in dating a married woman about a year ago or so, i was dating a married woman, she did not tell me that she was married, but i found about it and i told her that i know that she is married, then she decided not to see me.
she is really hot.
well recently, i learned that my recent date is actually married, but she is also really hot, should i keep my mouth shut not telling her that i know that she is married, so i can keep the relationship with her, i would not mind because i really like her..

Both women kept secret information you should have known in the first place. That is a very bad start, because it is clear that they will hide whatever they feel that you are not "entitled" to know.
Married women flirt for a multitude of reasons. They cheat on their husbands for a multitude of reasons, too, and I don't think it falls to any of us to feel above them. But I think you should ask yourself what the reason is, because that will define what they want from you. The first woman wanted sex. The second woman, I can't really know. Not that I want to be misogynistic, or to offend any of the girls around here, but it is not always that married women cheat on their husbands because they are being neglected or mistreated. The one who cheated on her husband with me just wanted sex with someone else, for example. We men don't usually care about being used this way, but, sometimes I think we should. She did what the first woman did to you: dump me as soon as there seems to be a problem. Like a piece of crap, yes. This is why the advice about not falling in love is so sound.
You're not asking for moral advice, so I won't give it. But I have to say that moral behavior is indeed necessary. This affair could result in a lot of pain for everyone. Does this woman have any children? What will happen if the husband finds out, and he eventually will? Just how interested is she in you? Is that interest worth it, instead of finding a woman who won't have such strings attached? And, I agree with leavingwt about getting shot, and, believe me, that doesn't happen in the United States only. By the way, if your wife cheated on you with another man, would you think that other man didn't do you any harm? Being cheated on is terribly painful, and I think you know that. Does he deserve that?
If there are issues in the marriage, let her sort them out, and come to you once she's free. And this, not only on moral grounds, but also on practical ones. You need a clear deal.

AdaMakawee, my comment was just meant to go to the heart of the matter. In my view of things, which might not be the right one to approach witnesses, if there is no reason for us to make those calculations, why should we even make them? This is perhaps my way of disproving the chronology, by stating that there's no reason why we should have one, in the first place.

I'm sorry if this doesn't help the person who posted the question. I understand the importance of that date for Jehovah's witnesses. What I don't understand yet is why we should make that kind of calculations in the first place. Why do we have to read the book of Daniel and strive to find that kind of information on it? I believe every witness should ask himself or herself that question.
Adamakawee, I understand that "The Gentile Times Reconsidered", which you can get from Amazon, is the best way to disprove the theory, as it is, I understand, a very thorough study.

You Gotta Love Awake "Logic"!
by metatron inthe dec. 2009 awake asks the question, what kind of star led the "wise men" to jesus?
it concludes that the "star was from an evil source, most likely satan the devil" ( pg 11).
i see the logic , yes....... since herod wanted to kill jesus, a great personage of pure evil must be behind the 'star'.

Satan could have created the world!
Metatron, have you read the funny story by Mark Twain, the one about intelligent design and the fly? The one about how this wonderful insect was created for the sole purpose of spreading microbes, diseases... ? Mark Twain wonders whether the creator of the fly should be considered intelligent, since so much design went into... a fly?

I could but notice the fact that worms aren't benefitting from the New Life, as hens still are eating them. And I wonder how the foxes can sustain themselves. In fact, I wonder what everyone eats. People are not supposed to slaughter cows, or maybe cows aren't supposed to benefit from the new life, either? Henrietta the Llama is still a beast of burden, from what I see. Of course, she never went to any meetings.
It seems that there is sex in the new world, after all. Otherwise, how did Elizabeth, the new granddaughter, came to be?
In another line of thought, I wonder if the Watchtower has ever stopped to think that life as we know it today requires dirty rotten worldlies to take care of things so hateful in jehovah's eyes such as, for example, spending many years in college to be able to design computers, or not attending meetings to make sure corn gets to the market, or organizing "message services", or designing and manufacturing the very printing machines the Watchtower owns. How could a better world be even thinkable without the worldlies? Who would make the tea kettle? I am sure Jehovah isn't going to spare many Chinese, since Armageddon is so close and they aren't witnesses. Wow. And, the new world has cars, and then roads, and then pollution?
Of course, Jehovah has a preference for Caucasians. In the new life, eyes of blue and hair of gold. No mention is even made of Brother Jawaharlal and his very dark skin, for example. Or brother Sun Myung Moon. Or, the fact that most Jehovah's witnesses aren't white. Or the fact that most of the resurrected wouldn't be White.
How sad that these things are even written. How sad that some people believe them.

My question is, why would the Devil bother? Wasn't Jesus supposed to live anyways, so he could save everyone? Aren't prophecies meant to be fulfilled anyways?

Moshe, have you ever asked them whether "Jehovah" is more likely to be the right pronunciation of YHWH, or whether "Yahweh" is?

I'm sorry too, twinkle toes. I am also sorry about the fact that you have been denied even the right to mourn openly.
I am sorry that I can't be there with you to comfort you. I can offer you but my hand, metaphorically, and my sincere desire that you will some day be free to experience the love you needed to feel when your mother died and now that your mourn her.
I am a wordly man. I am your brother, too. You can come to me if you need it.
