Hadit, I wish you the best also. Both my sons left the organization before me, so it was easier for me to get out of it. Its very frustrating, you can hear their doubts, but they wont connect the dots.

Im finally leaving my jw husband.
by littlebird insome of you know i have struggled with this for awhile.
i really do believe in marriage and the committment, however, sometimes enough is enough.. his endless preaching at me and calling me and my (adult) children satan has me realizing that this situation is not going to get better.
the other day he kicked my son out of the house for wearing a cap, in his car, with a skull on it.

Gary- I think it may be different because you were never a witness, my husband fills compelled to bring me and the kids back in it. Thanks for the good wishes
Aquagirl- You are right, the insanity is no exaggeration. Were we that bad?
Cult classic- Thank you , Im trying to be brave. I know if I cave, nothing will ever change & I'll be miserable.

Some of you know I have struggled with this for awhile. I really do believe in marriage and the committment, however, sometimes enough is enough.
His endless preaching at me and calling me and my (adult) children satan has me realizing that this situation is not going to get better. The other day he kicked my son out of the house for wearing a cap, in his car, with a skull on it. He said my son was bringing satan in the house and told him to get out. He's been ranting endlessly about how close the end is, look at the eggs have to be recalled, bed bugs are an epidemic, etc, etc. Its gotten so bad, that I don't think they make enough xanax pills for me to pop to try to handle him.
I already got my own phone last month because I saw this coming. I found a new job and tomorrow I sign a lease for an apartment. He won't get the help he needs because his jw friends are telling him how great he is for standing up to us for jehovah. I can't compete with his perception of God. He's already excited about being able to have his jw friends over finally.
I must admit, I will be happy about not having to walk on eggshells around him anymore, and be able to put up a christmas tree if I want to. But it still hurts to think 25yrs of marriage is essentually going down the drain. Im almost 43, I've NEVER lived on my own before. Its scary. I'll be ok.
Thanks for listening.

When you are debating with a Witness...
by sabastious in...you ever feel like you are debating basic addition or multiplication or something like that?
you ever stop in your head and say:.
"why the hell am i spending time doing this?".

Hey leaving, I want that book for christmas, lol!
I try not to debate with my husband, because anything I say becomes, "satan persecuting him" He talks over you, so theres no point. I really want to yell at him tonight. I was gone and my son told me that he couldn't find his briefcase, so he went ranting that I had hid it from him and called his bible study to tell him satan was trying to keep him from learning the truth. Geez. I don't know whether to confront him or just save my money and leave. Gosh, I hope I wasnt that paranoid when I was in that cult.

Karma's a bitch
by keyser soze ini recently found out something interesting about an elder from my former congregation.
this guy was a former bethelite, and very much a company man.
a friend of mine switched congs because he believed(and rightly so) that this elder had it in for him.

It seems as though, that those who "protest too much", point fingers at others, are usually trying to distract attention from themselves and their own wrong doing from others. What jerk, huh?

What is a pagan to do?
by littlebird ini have a pagan friend who came over the other day.
she wanted her daughter (who is 8) to tell me about this night mare she had.
demons were holding her down trying to put a needle in her arm from a cup of blood.

All Good advice, I'll print and pass it on. Well maybe not. I'll highlight and copy.
Zid, she's calls herself a pagan, but a wiccan. A suppose a wiccan would know should know about smudging. Personally, Im not up on that stuff, so forgive me if I came off offensive. She came to me because I'm an ex jw and knows I know the crap they teach.

I have a pagan friend who came over the other day. She wanted her daughter (who is 8) to tell me about this night mare she had. Demons were holding her down trying to put a needle in her arm from a cup of blood. This little girl is also saying the demons are making her lie.
As a christian, and with her mothers permission, I told her that she can pray to Jesus and the demons wont hurt her. She has nothing to worry about.I also told her that demons cant make her lie, if she lies, its her doing it herself.
My question for you all, is this. What can she do to protect her daughter from the kids grandmother? The mom has custody, but the dad, who isn't a witness, has her on sundays. Which of course, granny takes her to meetings. What suggestions do you guys have. Oh, they are also telling her that mommy is going to be destroyed in armegedon. To that I told her (Mom) to tell them that comments like that teach her daughter disrespectful things about her mother and that needs to stop immediately.
Thanks gang
