Congregation Reassignments in Ohio?
by My Name is of No Consequence infrom what i understand, a letter was read this past week in regards to congregation reassignments and that the elders want to meet with people at their homes to tell them where they have been reassigned.
obviously, this would be due to the merging and dissolution of congregations.
can anyone confirm this?.

What is the current pulse in the organization with the reductions?
by SouthCentral ini have not seen jehovah’s witnesses in my neighborhood for several years now.
it appears that the cart witnessing has taken over.
congregations are being consolidated and witnesses are being forced to travel a greater distance than before.the burdens/privileges of elders seem to be ever increasing!.

I think this is only the first round of kingdom hall sell offs as kingdom halls now are the only assets the watchtower have

Cart work faces headwinds.
by lastmanstanding inmy little bethel bird has whispered in my ear some encouraging news.
it has been reported to the canadian branch that some witnesses doing cart work had police stop them from carting in public parks.
the direction sent to the southern ontario congregations is to cease carting until further notice.. this is no joke.. have a jw-free day..

How it started out was that in each city in all of the big citys all the jws from that city and around that city were ment to go and man the carts in that big city for 10 hours a day but each jw doing shifts of 3 or 4 hours a time

If the rank and file have done what the watchtower wants and have got a low income job they will be really pushed to find the extra money to get to the kingdom hall

Hopefully the 3000 propertys that they are selling off will just be the start as they will need money to keep all the headquaters around the world going and they still need money to keep produceing the bimonthly magazines and single page tracts

Don't even try it!
by JTrottigy inthere are many here who think they can infiltrate my web-site.
be warned that we administrators of jwtalk call the listed congregation on your application for membership in our site to verify if they know you!.
some of you have slipped through the cracks and got into our site, but rest assured, we will find you out and ban you!.

Its a shame the watchtower is not more bothered about the fact that they are selling 3,000 propertys off these next few months

Evolution of a congregation 1978- 2018
by joey jojo inour whole congregation was excited as we stood in front of our brand new kh and smiled for the photographer from the local newspaper.. for years we had been travelling 30 mins each way to attend the meetings and now, after a big effort of donations and hard work we finally had our own kh in our own town.
in the picture, there were 45 smiling faces of all ages, from the newborn to the old brother that had turned 100 and everyone in between.
the year was 1978.. the congregation grew and shrank over the years, probably hitting its peak during the 80's and 90's, there was even a renovation in the early 90's that the local brothers donated towards, for the benefit of the local town to hear the good news about the imminent arrival of the end.

by purrpurr inis it true that there's been no new releases at this summer's convention?
if so it will be the first convention in decades perhaps ever to not produce at least a new tract.. how are the r&f explaining this to eachother?
surely they must have noticed the absence?

I think that the writing committee will be the next group of people to be kicked out.The watchtower will be printing the new format of the watchtowers and awakes for the next two years then i think they will just keep on reprinting the same stuff and just changing the dates eg issue 1 2018 will become issue 1 2020 and so on

In 2012 the watchtower did close 20 branch offices around the world and sam hurd did say in 2015 that ALL bethels have reduced the number of people who used to work there
