this was how it was described to me yesterday by a brother who has been there for some 40 years.

"everyone is about gone; the governing body is set to leave within 2 months; the kitchen and laundry personnel are gone and i have to fend for myself now.".

"also the aggravation of 4 to 5 business men in suits with clipboards daily checking out the watchtower properties.

i dont feel sorry for anybody at bethel or any active jw because im sure they would shun their own mother farther wife husband son daughter if needed

it is still strange, that an organization, lead by a group of old timers, is gaining billions at the moment, without giving any transparency and accountancy feedback, because these men "trust each other", and come away with that.. they got the property investment by the use of cohi associates, and deposit their liquid assets at the caymans.. it is clear: the real power behind the jw.org facade is securing his future.. don't get me wrong, i'm not insane, but more and more i got this strong gut feeling that some governmental organization has the real power.. gorby.

Ithink they will keep as much money as they can because they have no idea how much money is coming inn via donations and even now they have about 20,000 people to feed and 50 million mags a month to print and transport to places although in time with the magazines being undated they will be able to use them for years to come so they might not have to print so many

despite claims to the contrary, there's no guarantee the watchtower will be around in a few decades time.

and it seems to me there's ever mounting evidence that the opposite may well be true.

but it's not just that recruitment is down and their defectors are up.

what ever money they get from selling brooklyn off will only last so long and if they are not getting enough money from the rank and file then they will have keep selling kingdom halls off at least 4 so far

until 1990 they were a straightforward publishing business with the tremendous advantage of free labour in production and free distribution agents.

since then they've been relying on donations for literature to keep the old model going.

Its a good way for people to use their hours up and there is a chance they might manage to give out some of their old teaching books

The GB sees the big picture though if one million children around the world dont have a $1 ice cream and give it to the borg thats one million dollars

If one thousand people from this website took a teaching book and put it in the trash each week that would be a 1000 books or per year 52,000 books

It sounds as though the borg want your money and lots of your money even your childrens ice cream money thats why like to throw as many teaching books in the trash as i can and if all the 1000s of people on this site did the same that would mean that 1000s of teaching books would be in the trash and even if they replaced them with single page tracts that would still cost them money that they say they dont have

soooo... i think the main strength of this group is having the finances to keep this con game going.

i'm hoping that the pedophilia cases are draining them dry so we can be rid of this stumbling block from an organizational stand point.

how is the constant surge of bad news getting out on them effecting the everyday person in this organization?

The GB and their helpers are big picture people if a million children give up their $1 ice cream for the borg thats $1 million.

If all the 1000s of people on this website were to throw one teaching book in the trash that would be 1000s of books that the borg would have to replace even if that was with single page tracts that would still cost money that the borg need to keep going

Not good even though they are in the process of selling bethel at brooklyn off they still have to print and distribute about 52 million magazines a month and pay for 1000s of people to eat.And my friends in the uk tell me that they get all their teaching books either from america or germany.
