  Is the Watchtower organisation facing the biggest crisis of its history?

  recent developments make me think they might be.

  the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.

  one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

  also how many young people are there in the borg say for example 40 and under because on the agm video david splane asked the camers to pan out on the group of people and most looked 50 plus and i wonder how many of those people will still be alive in 10 or 20 or 30 years

  ok so most of you guys know already that i am going through the reinstatement process for my parents but i do have a partially sinister plan which i will not mention here since someone told me that there are b-lites that read boards like this.

  last night and it was the funniest experience i have ever seen.

  besides that the brother doing the sound and video screwed up the whole thing when showing the videos and it took 3 brothers to fix it after 10 minutes, the whole thing was a joke.

  new broadcast, same tactics.

  a teenage witness kid who only recently acquired a calf (agriculture school project i assume) offers to sell it to help pay for daddy's airfare to warwick.

  if that is the best that they can come up with about people being generous then they really must be scraping the barrel and also at the end where he got a checque from a 13 year old

  the 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.

  the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!

  personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.

  is anybody aware of any kingdom hall builds going on or any kind of ldc activity?

  i've been wanting to ask this, and committeechairman's question at the end of this thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/289353/ldc-semininar?page=4&size=20, moved me to go ahead and ask.. i've kind of wondered whether the org leaders got rid of rbcs and instituted the ldc arrangement because they wanted to be able to stop or slow down construction without it being obvious.

  if the rbcs were still in existence, it would be obvious that there's nothing (or almost nothing) going on (if that really is the way it is) because rbc personnel would be idle when they were used to being busy.

  * the last money-begging effort increased donations by 15% for two months; a letter by a 13 year old who donated is read out loud.

  * since last may "so many good things have happened".
