Ekala Convention Hall To be Sold - Sri Lanka

sri lanka has only one convention hall which is situated at 44, agaraduguru mawatha,ekala,ja-ela wp.

this was built on some where around 1990's.

now the sri lanka branch committee has decided to sale the property.what is the reason behind this??????????????

magnum even they have not been printint about 50 million magazines a month (watchtower and awake) and have about $2 million dollars because of it they still have to keep closing halls down

Estimating future growth or decline of Watchtower

i have seen a few posts here, in various guises, in relation to whether watchtower is in decline.

plenty of people respond, but it is all fairly anecdotal, or "gut feel".

some of it has been wishful thinking.. as of late 2015, watchtower's numbers suggest it is still growing marginally, but there are various anecdotes on this site of publishers typically being older, and younger ones disappearing.

i would say decline in both people AND money and now that they are having to sell the family silver off brooklyn and central london it will be very nice to see the borg slowly crumbling away

this is good news.

the wt have lost in their attempt to stop the uk charity commission's inquiry into their affairs.

my impression is that most ambitious youngster in the org dream of being involved with the building program.

more cut backs rather than doing printing in uk get it done in germany if it cost about £200,000 for the new accomadation in the uk it would take many years for a lorry once a month going the 500 miles that it is from selters to london

first week focuses on utilizing videos in combination with tracts.

for the wtbts, this is a low cost approach to placements and prosyletising.. .

second week focuses on those who are ill. this is somewhat surprising in that the subject was discussed recently in the wt study (dec 15 2015 edition - "jehovah will sustain you") considered at the end of february this year.. .

what i dislike about lots of church congregations is their readiness to make unpleasant and unhelpful comments about other christian groups.

recently someone in a church tried to tell me a little about the views of jehovahs witnesses.

well it finally happened!

we have been waiting about a year for this, my dfd husbands family asked us for money.

even though his own father hasn't met our 8 month old son.

If your husbands father has not met his grandson once but wants money of you then that is worse than being a prostitute at least they give you sex and dont be expecting any contact after wards either.I would bite my tongue and try to wake them up by saying this if your family at the kingdom hall is so loving etc you should ask them or even the branch headquaters for money or help.
