by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

they were not actively approaching anyone.
what i found strange was that they were from a cong that has different territory, so i don't know why they were there.. anyway i knew them both, and they know i was df'd, i was in my car and couldn't park up for a chat, but i did beep and wave to them as i drove passed and they waved back.

they seem to say some pretty crazy stuff.
but i have read some threads discussing doctrinal changes and how watchtower is really out of ideas and money at the same time.

thats why i take as many teaching books etc from the carts as i can if i can just save one person from having to go through this it will be worth it 923 books so far

Christian Science - Religious Abuse
by dubstepped inso i'm listening to an episode of the mental illness happy hour (mentalpod.com) about a lady that left christian science.
they like to throw around the phrase "the truth" a lot, read publications constantly and discuss at church, think they're better than others because they know "the truth", deny things that go on, etc.
her mom is a narcissist, and the religion is very narcissistic.

by oldskool ini used to be a member of this site, but jumped off a good number of years ago (08?).
i don't have access to my old email, so i'm using a new account.. anyway, i was baptized jw in late 90's.
da'd mid 2000s.. when i left there were three meets a week plus field service.

by Quarterback ini've been reading so much lately about the pre message of the rc is about downsizing and living in bunkers.. are we getting ahead of ourselves?
living within your means has been a good piece of advice.
i do have a big house, but along with that i have to pay extra to heat it, extra work to clean it, more on residential taxes, worries about the volatile house market.

And downhill the WT will be going because now they are selling the family silver off they will have no reserves off and they must be short of money because you dont kick out 1000s of people from bethels around the world and close branch offices down if you are ok for money

by pepperheart inif they really thought that the end times were coming re the bunker would they just not have kept everybody at all the bethels around the world and let them do fs for 60 or 70 hours a week rather then them having to go home and try to fit jobs in as well
