This is why all the cuts are so good because when the money from selling the family silver has run out (selling the new york and london bethels) they will have to start selling kingdoms halls off and that will make it harder for people to get to a kingdom hall

The average Witness will continue to follow Watchtower leadership whether right or wrong.
by UnshackleTheChains ini hate to say this, but given my own experience as a jw for almost 3 decades, i am beginning to believe the average jw will continue to look to and be guided by the gb regardless of whether they are right or wrong.. despite all the scandals and negative media attention the watchtower organisation is receiving, life seems to go on as normal in jw land.
it's truly bizarre!!.
clearly, the gbs tactic of mostly hiding away from the media is clearly working for them.

why does the society promote such vitriolic hate toward, and about those who have left "the truth" ?.
surely it is obvious that such critical attitudes towards ones like us who have left, only serves to proove that they do not have "the truth"?.

The big mistake of jw.org property management
by Gorbatchov intoday i read some news story's about the property deals of jw.org in brooklyn.
they made good money and good connections.. but i'm sure jw.org made a very, very big mistake in brooklyn.
they did.. they sold and are selling all the property for money.

It depends how much of a cash flow crises they have had,if you go on their own website they tell you that in 2012 they sold 20 branch headquaters around the world off and when that was not enough they had to make lots more cuts as well,They might have 8 million members on paper but how many of those are only still around because thet dont want to be shunned and dont give any money

On the july broadcast they did a section about the carts and one of the GB even gave people a tip about putting magazines and books into plastic bags to keep them dry and clean.Because the magazines are undated now in time i can see them having on the carts watchtowers and awakes that were printed many many years ago

Books are not dying out and this is not the reason for the WT turning to tablets
by slimboyfat inthere's a popular misconception that books in general are in terminal decline, that this is the reason the wt organisation has turned to tablets instead of print, and this in turn has created a financial crisis for the organisation which traditionally relied upon publishing books for income.
this is wrong on a number of levels.
firstly physical books are not in terminal decline, they are as popular as ever with consumers.

Dutch conventions organized like circuits
by Gorbatchov inhere in holland jw.org is organizing for the first time the yearly conventions like circuits.
the whole summer the new convention hall is used for small group conventions instead of 10.000 seat external halls.. it keeps the money in the organization.
not renting external buildings.. the 29.000 witnesses here are divided now into 2.000 seat audience.. g..
