Ever Disturbed by Something an Elder Said to You Personally?

i used to go out in service with this particular elder and after a while he developed a habit of saying...disturbing things.

i remember one occasion where he reminisced in rather graphic detail about a handjob some other guy gave him in school.

i recall another service venture when we passed a woman out walking her dog and he asks "do you ever wonder how many women who own dogs have sex with them?

last i knew he moved away and hasn't been back to this site.

i'd like to post the link to it, because it was taken in the same town that this article is running.

this is causing great consternation with the remaining gb as they decide who is telling the truth about their annointing.

& I hope that an interdimensional portal opens up beneath Brooklyn and sucks all of Bethel in while there is a GB meeting attended by all of them before the portal closes...but it ain't likely to happen. Oh well, I suppose we can dream, right illuminator?

First Semester of College Completed Tonight!

just wanted to say that as of tonight, i have completed my first semester of college.

it feels great.

i have met a lot of new friends, many of them great people.

How many registered sex offenders in territory

i just had a thought.

is there any provision for service overseers/territory servants to keep the territories updated with registered sex offenders?

i'm not talking about jws that are registered and attending - i'm referring to all the sex offenders registered in the congregation territory.

A good place to start such an investigation would be right at the Kingdom Hall.

Ignorance and Stupidity

i've had an epiphany.

maybe this was obvious to some of you but after having discussions with certain people i've realized there's a big difference between ignorance and stupidity.

you can fix ignorance by shedding light.

Stupidity is cured at the moment of death. Like most anything, I believe stupidity can be fixed, but it would require someone first coming to realize that they ARE IN FACT STUPID and then determining to no longer BE stupid. Like any other way of life, such as alcoholism or drugs addiction, it would require effort and strong determination to overturn. Because most people, for one reason or another, are not willing to exert the effort and invest the time, stupidity more often than not goes unchecked and progresses.
