I know one dude who claims to be of the CC. Been a dub his whole friggin life. He still goes out, but he goes alone, for an hour or two a month, doesn't place magaxzines, and wears informal clothes, sometimes even jeans and tennis shoes (because, as he recalls, Knorr thought jeans and tennis shoes were only worn together by homosexuals). "I won't do it their way...but I'll still do it...so I don't get in trouble."

My dad belonged to a Baptist church that every so often would encourage members to go out ant preach. It was probably just and isolated local church group. Of course, if any local dubs catch wind of it they'll consider it bragging rights: "You see friends, some false Christians even put on the fascade of trying to follow Jesus' command to preach the good news, but for how long do they endure? Not to the end, that's for sure. This is just further proof that we, Jehovah's name people, have the truth and are the only ones willing and capable of sharing it right down to the end."

Why was I disfellowshipped?
by pes0210 ini needed to get this off my chest for awhile back i confessed to the elders in my hall that i had sexbfm, i was dating a sister for 2 years and she wouldnt marry me until i became an elder like her dad.
so i fell into some sin and did the deed, one night stand with a stranger.
i felt bad for it and told the brothers, well they recommended me for dfing, i told them i wasnt sure where i was in life spiritually and they said i need to go on my own and figure it out...well 7 days or so later i went and called the po and asked him if he would hear my repentance, he said it was too late (one day past the alotted time) and they already sent the letter to the society...well i asked what can i do and they recommened a judical comittee of like 8 brothers from surrounding halls to hear my case, well i sat in a massive circle of 10 or more brothers in a back room and opened up all of my repentance and tears and confessions, they all were in an agrement that i was worthy to stay in the organization becuase as they stated "you are a good fine brother that loves jehovah" but.... they recounted that they have to go with the first decision they 3 elders in my hall made, then told me to work my way back in no time.....this was a turning point of craziness, my mother father brother sister all stopped talking to me imeddiatly not a word, they were from the old school 70's witnesses (not like the ones today) they were taught to be strickt!

The levels that these bastards stoop too never cease to amaze me. You're correct: there is no love in that organization and I will go a step further: there is no god for that organization outside of the GB. I knew a sister who attempted suicide and was brought before elders no more than two weeks later for not respecting the sanctity of life. Saddly, people's grevious situations are all too often used against them, as yours was with you. Stories like these bring me sadness as I realize that I once supported such tactics and such an organization. As several have said, I will say again: with time it will all become less burdensome. Try to recall the good times with your father. No matter how many comments you get from those brainwashed assholes, they can never take those moments away.
