A couple questions on Anointed and Selfishness
by Butterflyleia85 inquestion #1: what does anointed mean to you, who are they?.
question #2: is it selfish to want the 'gift' (paradise, heaven, etc.
) from god?

Question #1: What does Anointed mean to you, who are they?
Question #2: Is it selfish to want the 'Gift' (paradise, heaven, etc.) from God? Even if it meant sacrificing your loved ones fellowship here on earth today?
I use to picture either being a Jehovah's Witness or a Worldly person (when I was a Jehovah's Witness and had a mindset like them), I was confused for a minute... Would I want to be righteous and live forever by myself or with few family members that I felt were a bet self righteous and worry to much about perfection or image rather then God and forgiveness? OR Would I want to be unrighteous and die on earth here but be with ones that didn't judge and was honest and real imperfect human beings but really caring family members that I felt some how God wouldn't punish, for they were brought down by their own imperfections?
Thank that's where I started myself stubble (in a sense, as far as Jehovah's Witnesses go).

The Awakening
by AK - Jeff ina time comes in your life when you finally get...when, in the midst of all your fears and insanity, you stop dead in your tracks and somewhere the voice inside your head cries out...enough1 enough fighting and crying and blaming and struggling to hold on.
then, like a child quieting down after a tantrum, you blink back your tears and begin to look at the world through new eyes.. .
you realize its time to stop hoping and waiting for something to change, or for happiness, safety and security to magically appear over the next horizon.. .

And if you had only gave me Steve Hassan book at that moment writing this paper, I would been able to compare it to his experiances with the Moonies.
So where does he find his inspiration now I wonder?
He did talk about his treatment inspiring him to go into Socology and helping others that were in these "trap".
No matter what people feed you, how inspired they are, you have to keep an open mind and research things yourself. I found that to be one the most important keys to life now and days.

Talks That Inspire
By [butterflyleia85]
I enjoy the talks given by the brothers at my hall. They are some speakers I enjoy better then others. Brother Gilmore was one of my favorite speakers. He was so encouraging and motivation. He gave emphasis and deep feeling in his speeches. His talks felt as if he was looking directly at you and into your life, knowing the pressure that we are all faced with. Then he gave us comfort and answers thru the scriptures to questions we may have been thinking about, like: why is it happening? what does it mean? when will it end? and how will it turn out? I especially loved the experiences and the illustrations he gave along with his talks. Some were tear-jerkers that got us emotionally involved and motivated us to look at our lives, either in how we can make use of it, by putting forth more effort in doing God's will, or how we can relate and be stregthening if we put our faith in God. He made the "hope for the future" real to us. God's word was powerfully brought out in his talks when he brought the scriptures into color. Reading God's word the Bible can help you have the full picture to the story, but when he explained it, it brought color to the pages. You understood what was going on and how it related to our lives today. He was one of the best speakers I have ever heard.
The assemblies and conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses were the best places to hear the greatest talks, by Brothers in varies locations around the world. Locally, here in Indiana, they come from any where betweeen Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. The recent three-day district convention held in Ohio that I went to was very beneficial. The theme for the convention week in June was "Godly Obedience". I took notes over the talks given by the speakers during the three-day convention.
Friday morning at 9:50am, it started out with a talk in titled "Listening with a Purpose-To Do God's Will." The speaker brought out that God wants to teach us to be obedient using the scriptures. Isaiah chapter fifty-four, verses thirteen says, "And all your sons will be persons taught by Jehovah, and the peace of your sons will be abundant" (Isaiah 54:13), and Isaiah thirty verses twenty and twenty-one says, "...your own ears will hear a word behind you saying: 'This is the way. Walk in it, you people,' in case you people should go to the right or in case you should go to the left" (Isaiah 30:20, 21). He gave an example about Moses gathering the people for God to instruct them (Exodus 19). He also spoke of how Nehemiah gathered people for God to instruct them (Nehemiah 8:18). Then he also spoke about the experience of Paul, when he was speaking God's Word; but by Holy Spirit the people of varies nations began to hear the word in their own language so they could receive Gods instruction (Acts 2:1). He told us how we need to improve our intention and listen with a purpose. "We should listen in this way... recored in James one verses twenty-two." "It says to become doers of the word not just hearers... So by our going to the convention today let us insight one another to fine works... Think about what we are learning about God... Jehovah (God) listens... He thinks about what he learns about us (Heb. 13:21)." That bother's talk was very motivating and it gave us an incentive in hearing the rest of the talks given that day. It was like an awakening from our daily lives. We now were focused and prepared to pay attention to the important messages inspired by God that day.
Sunday afternoon at 3:25pm, the third day in to the convention that week, wrapped up the last talk in titled, "Godly Obedience-Our Way of Life." The speaker started out with how our senses can deceive us. He gave an illustration about a Pilate in an airplane flying in the clouds not being able to see. If he went with his senses he could easily create an accident but if he went according to the meters and relied upon them to lead the way he could more accurately see his way through the clouds. He continued by saying, "Rather then trusting our senses, let us listen to the guidance provided to preserve our lives... The Bible has provided us with guidance as well as the Organization... We should listen to the ones guiding us. Only Jehovah has provided life and he has first class of our obedience. Acts seventeen verses twenty-eight says, 'For by him we have life and move and exist, even as certain ones of hte poets among you have said, 'For we are also his progeny' (Acts 17:28)." "Godly obedience is our way of life (Acts 19:9, 23)... The way... Ten years after Jesus death his followers were known as "The Way" because they were obedient... First we must hear and listen... We can prove our obedience (Psalms 19:7, 8)... Obedience is the wise course..." "God has commanded us to 'go preach', 'make disciples' and 'maintain conduct fine among you' (Matthew 28:19; Romans 16:19). Hebrews five verses eight spoke of how Jesus endured trials and how his course of action was pleasing to Jehovah... He kept spiritual things first. We should imitate Jesus example... His aid provide hope to them... a resurrection hope. If we are determined to do God's will we can face trials. We need to avoid what is worthless spiritually... We show are appreciation by obeying (Hebrews 13:17). Deuteronomy twelve verses twenty-eight says, "Watch, and you must obey all these words that I am commanding you, in order that it may go well with you and your sons after you to time indefinite, because you will do what is good and right in the eyes of Jehovah your God (Deuteronomy 12:28). This speaker was very motivating and forward. It was more of a command that he carried through his voice. The talk gave a feeling of urgency and that this should be taken seriously.
The talks provided by Jehovah's Witneses by use of the Bible are motivating, encouraging, and comforting. They inspire ones to take action in a direction that is pleasing to God. It helps people live a productive and beneficial life. I have found that just by reading the scriptures are not enough. We need the speakers to give us more of an understanding of God's Word.
So what do you guys think? Pretty interesting looking back isn't it. The Professer liked my ending and said I did a good job. He said he was glad to have me as a student in his class and to keep strong and that I'd succeed in all that I do.

What caught my eye was ending with the paragraph below. Why can't she just see this is coming from their mouths if she supports this it's out of trust in them and taking their word for it! Why can't she look up what dangers, cults, extremists, etc. are. Then make a claim weither or not they are what they claim they are and are not! See both sides of the story. Not buy into even my word for it but the sources I provided for her!
Second, such words as “dangerous sect,” “enemies
of the nation,” and “extremist” have power
only as long as people fall under their spell, mindlessly
accepting their malicious implications. The
tactics of innuendo and slander need not work on
need not work on
you.
We hope that you will make the effort to seethrough such empty talk
