Are they really that bad???
by anonymous4 inhad a good look into the doctrine, beliefs and practices of jws and to be honest, i don't really see anything wrong with it at all.. it's biblical and i've had such an eye opener the past year or so reading some of their books and magazines .
is there really any real reasons why i shouldn't want to get involved further?
:-).

Design, Yeah that’s cool you been… and I know they’re out there… good churches I mean… Church of God for one or yes some kind of nondenominational church. Right now just doing research and finding support on this board has help a lot. There are a lot on here that has knowledge of the bible and other religions.
I’m really no debater just a person that likes to learn and give out what I’ve learned.
Going into Debator’s comment…. We are not meant to use the bible alone. We are supposed to be a flock learning together.
If you cannot even get that right what are your chances with the rest of the Bible?
I so don’t want to debate with a debater… the scriptures say Romans 14:2; Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don't argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.

Wow this went way out of the main person's post here!
Debator
Vs.
Better Debators... lol
If you read all the posts on here you will be a bet confused I believe. Just know that there are two sides to every story! Research both sides and then decide what's best! For you life's sack and your families!
If you want to be feed how to believe and able to ajust to their belief changes... go for Jehovah's Witnesses!
If you want to freely research and self study the bible, have support but not told what their saying is the absulute true then later change it... go to a church.
God is the true as a JW and other Christians believe... and that we wont know til armageddon.
But the process of getting there and the lives we live today... do you want it munipulated or do you want the freedom that God gave you to decide what is right and what is wrong through your consciences decisions of the scriptures! Not set interperitations that later may change...

Cut out empty calories! Keep track of what you put in your mouth and evaluate it... make the changes nessary and research meals or healthy snacks to replace those empty calorie foods!!
Chocolate is ok... just replace it with the dark chocolate and make it a small treat... or reward!
I use to "cheat" and still lose weight but that was because most the time I ate healthy... I'm sure you do that too! But keep criticing it and you will lose those 8 pounds in no time!!

Add a little more weight training to your cardio routine... with that you increase muscle making you more proficient at your cardio and thus burning more fat!!
But make sure you are getting all the nutrition you need to do it too! Don't cut down to much but enough that helps you gain your energy level fit to your daily life style!!

do you miss anything from when you were a jw?
by Newborn ina few of my friends who also used to be jw's, say they miss certain things abt it...i can honestly say that i don't miss a single thing (my sister obviously who's still in but nothing else).. before i could sometimes miss having such a strong belief but that's also gone.
i guess i've moved on big time.

My family who don't talk to me and old friends I made when I was a good Jehovah's Witness.
I miss thinking I knew the truth (God's sacride secret) and had the chance to save people and was one of the righteous ones with a gift... even though I was imperfect and sinned at times (ha back then it was listened to music that had a few bad words in them, PG13 movies with violence or immoral acts, umm not going out every Saturday morning, forgetting to study my leason, and hmm wanting a boyfriend even if he was worldly ha).
I miss being part of a group of people with the same believes... socielizing at conventions, assemblies, get togethers, etc.

I was watching it done, I remember, back when Newlywedds was on with Jessica Simsons and she had it done.... One episode was about her lazer eye surgery... eek it was grows... they use these things to force open your eye. Your awake the whole time... sounds like that would be the painful part. ...Even seeing all of that I think it would be worth it if I didn't have to worry about my glasses or contacts ever again!

Is the WTBTS having cash flow problems?
by JW GoneBad ini was at a 2 day circuit assembly this weekend and i was surprised at how many times mention was made directly or indirectly reminding those in attendance (1,600) of the need to give $$$.
even in the soliloquies or skits they seemed to work in the need to give $$$.. it made me wonder if the society is having 'cash flow' problems and hence is desparate for cash.
over the years that i've attended conventions and assemblies the need to give $$$ has been subtle (imo), til now.

Awesome I was thinking about having laser eye surgery. But the thought of someone cutting my eye eeek... and this guy from my old hall had his done and had problems and it kinda scared me but that's when laser eye was new. I think it's more common now and days and can avoid problems... so maybe some day I will.
