Flipper: Just the comment by your friend that , " this is not the real life, it's yet to come " , shows she is living in an unreality, a pipe dream and not living in the here and now . It is amazing how she acts like she's so altogether and has the answers to the universes questions. Most Jehovah's Witnesses are just sucked in by the WT society through guilt and fear - the 2 legs all cults control their members with.
Yes I know! It's like she's blinded or something... geez I see it on the other side, how I must have looked. I must say I do recall many nonJWs laughing at me and having a strange look on their face when I said words like that. haha I didn't really believe myself and just said it to gain dignety and pride that I was JW and part of it.

And this is not because of me anymore but because I am supporting a greater good... true victums that need to be reconized for their abused humility, and true hyprocrites for what and who they really are.

Yeah I still have my party pictures up and have different cartoon pictures that could be insalting to JWs. But have about 8 JW friends including my Dad and Step mom and sister.

Yeah and with the lay offs people like me that did some community college and did have a good job in civil engineering, regret never going to four year college because that's what employeers look for!! Grrr... I'm going back to school. At least I'm young and got out of being a JW to do that!

Yelp and she knows it too. ha She's a bet conceded! Geez to think I incoraged that crap. I was always taught it's what's on the inside that counts, but I loved to up build others and let them know they are beautiful especially some of my old JW friends because I remember there is alot of preasure to be humble and alot had low self asteem. It was sad such beautiful girls with little confidance. I didn't know this girl would take it out of preportion and go all evil on me.

Are Jehovah's Witness men good catches?
by garyneal ini've stated this before on this message board but i was kind of curious about this and wanted to get some feedback from the group.
in particular, the ladies who are either current or former jw's.. about a year or so ago, my wife went with me to a church i was attending at the time.
we then later that morning attended a kh meeting.

Have you while you were still in (or those who are currently still in) thought that the best thing that would've happened to you was for you to hitch up with a JW man? For those who married 'worldly' men, did you secretly wish he could become a Jehovah's Witness man? Or when things weren't going well in your marraige to your 'worldly' man, did you believe that things would've been better had you have married a Jehovah's Witness man?
Don't tell my fiance... But Yes.
A JW man though that wasn't so haughty were he thought he deserved miss perfect or clingy that lacked security.
My mom married a non JW and will I didn't want to make the same mistake she did. My fiance is non JW and I wanted to make it work so I did deep research to make sure this is what I truely wanted, no wishy washy... I made up my mind and I am not going back.
Now sence I'm not really married to my fiance I can't really say... but I do believe that all marriages have their ups and downs, but I would never say to my fiance I wish this or that! I'm proud of him and I never want to hurt him or make him think I doubt our relationship/marriage.

by WalkTall infirst of all, i'd like to thank everyone who so lovingly welcomed me onto the board.
for someone like me, trapped inside, it is good to know there is a safe place, a sanctuary, to run to when the pressure of living a forced lie becomes overwhelming.. many commented on the name i chose.
there is an inherent dignity in the name walktall, however, i chose it especially because of the beginning lyrics in john mellencamp's song of the same name:.
