how come pain the middle of the night is always more scary than during the daytime?

i was woke up from a hydrocodone sleep, with pain in my very upper abdomen and middle back.

it feels like i'm just pumped full of gas and tightness and pain.

some of you have said you were surprised to know how little "the world" knows about the watchtower (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/195783/2/were-you-suprised-at-how-little-the-world-knows-about-jws).

.i have the opposite question now.

what would jw's feel if they came across someone who knows a lot more than he is supposed to know?

They'd immediate cry APOSTATE!

Jw's are trained to find innocent unknowing people to teach them THEIR truth. If the person knows too much, asks too many questions in a tone that is meant to bring defense of their "truth", or is just too knowledgeable, then they will back away. Giving the excuse that the person obviously knows too much, or is friends with an apostate or something. Some would even use the excuse that Satan is leading this person, and never return to talk to them.

Despite saying they are looking for a bible discussion, they want NOTHING of the sort.

beks, no, no birth control here. The only thing I regularly take is my thyroid meds (which are natural dessicated thyroid hormone, not chemical) and 2 multivitamins.

I finally got a look at my house I was so pissed. Boy did I have those kids jumping.

You have NO idea how much that will be happening in THIS house. From 15 to 6, they are more than capable. All I do for them? Shoot. Don't get me started.

mrsjones, I hope you never have to experience it again either...maybe neither of us will. ((hoping))

Flyinghigh, I try so very hard to not take meds for this very reason, I just wanted sleep and no pain so very badly. Nice backfire, huh? It's 10am and I still haven't been able to drag ass outta bed yet. Kids are wrecking the house and man I'm tore up still. It's gonna be a very long day.

I was able to take a warm compress and lay it between my middle back and lower back and just try to relax. I fell asleep, and tossed and turned most of the night.

I've come to the conclusion that I can now add this medication as one I'm allergic to too. Demerol, Sulfa, Hydrocodone. Awesome.

I appreciate you all being concerned with me, as I WAS thisclose to heading to the ER. I still haven't ruled out the idea that this could have been a gallbladder or pancreas problem. Of course unless it flares up again in the same way, I won't know because I am currently without health insurance and can't create a new bill.

It feels like I'm just pumped full of gas and tightness and pain. I took three of those GasX dissolving tongue strips, and that did NOTHING. I can't go to the bathroom, don't feel bloated or blocked in the intestine. It's such an incredible pain, I'm basically typing here waiting for the moment I need to wake my husband and ask to be driven to the hospital.

I'm not a hospital person. I once had an eptopic pregnancy that I didn't go for treatment until it was near bursting.

I've delivered 6 children, vaginally (sorry guys).

I can handle pain. This is ridiculous.

I've already made the mistake of googling it, and well, now I'm freaked out.

I took the med mentioned above because my lower back was hurting all day, then my stomach was bothering me, felt tight and nervous like my dinner wasn't being digested. That was 4 hours ago. Wow.

Any armchair diagnosis?

Has anyone ever ask a householder to keep their Bible study secret from their spouse?

i was told of one incident, where a pioneer said that she had trouble with one householders husband, because he was hiding the literature and did not want his wife to study with the jw's so she incouraged the householder to study in secrecy.. .

My mother in law has a study right now, and she lies to her husband regarding the nature of the JWs, the study they have, and all at the urging of my mother in law. It's sick. They have twin daughters, and my MIL is slowly but surely pulling the three ladies away from their husband/daddy. All the while he thinks they are going to an open forum bible discussion from people in all walks of life and faiths.

To justify this, my MIL said not ALL ones at the meetings are all JWs, there are some unbelieving mates, other studies, and people that grew up a different religion, so technically it's not a lie. I think it's disgusting.

I have contemplated back and forth trying to contact her husband and let them know what a F'n snake in the grass my MIL is, and alert him of how he's going to lose his family. At the same time, if your spouse and children are attending 2 meetings a week and a few conventions a year, and you don't check into yourself, you are just a fool.

Is anyone celebrating the 4th?

i haven't started celebrating anything.

i kind of wanted to celebrate my birthday.

it's funny because the only person who gave me anything for my b-day was someone at work that i hate.

This is our 2nd 4th, we are looking forward to having some friends over for a swim, bbq, then watching fireworks at a nearby location. First time we've hosted an actual holiday! I even bought a flag inspired bikini for the occasion ;)

How to help a JW who may be gay

this is something i think about from time to tiime.

i have a male friend, staunch jw that i think could be gay.

family very hard-core jw.

Oh Serenity, that just made me so sad for the little boy this man was. With different parents, he could have blossomed into a totally different individual.

I have 2 sons, and as much as I don't want them to be gay because it's not an easy way of living, not because I don't love gay people...lets be clear, I still want to keep in my mind these reactions here, and pray to I don't know what anymore that I handle it better than that man did, should I need to.
